Winding down to the...

WC there is no need for any pessimism surrounding the Boks chances. We have a good a chance as any. Sure we could have had a better team and sure HM has made a few blunders along the way but the squad is now in place and it is what it is. Our failure to secure the Rugby Championship has been confined to history, we start from scratch and so does every other team. As a punter I know sport is unpredictable...hell, if every favourite won then bookmakers would be extinct. Every RWC has had a few upsets, there is no reason to believe that this one would be different. As a matter of fact I'm predicting there'll be more upsets and tighter games than in previous world cups....it will pay to remember that players from minnow nations ply their trade in Europe. The nature of world cups brings pressure into the equation....pressure is a nasty beast... a third force....fine if teams can handle it but as we've seen through the years it's cracked a few.
Go the Boks....they are par for the course with no pressure.
