What is more important.
Choosing the best XV, or choosing players like Mvovo, Nykana, who are almost the best in their positions?
Or even choosing players like Kolisi, and Mhojo players who are Super XV standard players at best- and just are not good enough on merit to be international level players.
If South Africa were to win the World Cup with a team that is not reflective of the rainbow nation- this may fuel more animosity.
Newspapers around the world are featuring reports about burning of the Springbok jerseys. It is terrible preparation for the World Cup.
It may well be better to go their with the main goal of being a rainbow nation first, and winning the world cup as 2nd importance.

It is without a doubt the worst prep of a Bok squad ahead of a RWC. It's a sad state of affairs when a trade union decides the makeup of a national rugby squad.

SB
If politics decide team selection then we can only allow for the deterioration of the standing of South Africa in world rugby. It will also self-destruct the financial base for rugby in SA and consequently the financial viability of the game in SA.
If what is demanded then I think we can expect rugby to go the same way as soccer and soon enough we will not be even competitive in Africa - least of all on the world stage.
Very soon there will only be individual competitors in non-team events that we as SA supporters to look up to and admire - our team sport will self-destruct based on the basis of racial quota selection and political meddling in team sports and consequential corruption so evident in SA at present.

Hence Mike my call to get an alternate sport to support. Tennis and golf come to mind. I magine complaining that you cant entry to an ATP 1000 tournament and you must be allowed to because of your colour. You would be told to get lost very quickly.

Beeno: you have given up before the RWC has even kicked off.
