I think if JJ wants to make the Jump into Springbok stardom, his first move should be to move away from the Sharks.

Saffex and I have had different views on a lot of players over the years . . . Mostert, DDA, Jordan Hendrickse, Hooker to name a few current ones. The Church of Rooi Tit & Porker would be quite a different experience depending on who is doing the sermon.

However, I will say this . . . the reason Saffex and I are seen as punting the same players is because we show respect towards one another and we respect each other's rugby knowledge . . . and even then we get into a few bust-ups of our own.

You're pretty much the only poster here whose rugby knowledge commands the same kind of respect which is why you and I have had so few bust ups over the years.

I'll make it easy for you, there are two categories.

1) Honest opinions on JJ

2) Very lighthearted banter that pisses you off far more than it should.

The first category doesn't need any defending because this is a rugby site and if we can't provide opinions on players then what are we doing here?

As for the second category, allow me to provide an example. This weekend JJ had an Afro going and a joke was made saying that he shouldn't be doing things that increase his increase his resistance and slow him down.

The only reason that you're having a little hissy fit about it, is because things haven't panned out as you thought and the player that you said he was far better than went ahead and did what you thought JJ was going to. So every joke we make reminds you that you didn't get what you wanted and that you were wrong.

So don't try and escalate our comments on JJ to some level where we're apparently unduly nasty to him, because we're not. The worst that was said about him with any seriousness behind it was that if he is going to be what you claim he is then he has a long way to go and he isn't making a great deal of progress toward that right now. In case you haven't noticed, we're five games deep in the URC and he hasn't set the world alight this year. He's done very little apart from a few breaks that never resulted in tries.

You claim he has X Factor. Fine. That's your opinion. At most, there have been a few flashes this season, nothing more. But you're far too immature to face reality and accept that.

And it's exactly because you can't accept that that we partake in light hearted banter about JJ. You're little too slow to realise that we simply use your immaturity and stubbornness as a vehicle to compound how angry we can make you.
