Hi Ruckers

I hope you are all doing well.

As the SXV season nears its climax, we're busy gearing up for what should be a bumper Rugby Championship. We're not ruling out an upset or 2.

We have noted that topics have often veered into political waters in recent times.

Whilst we try to maintain an open forum, we need to kindly ask that we end all political conversations that are not sport related.

As mentioned previously, we also uphold a zero tolerance level when it comes to racial slander. We kindly request that race issues are kept out of the forum.

It is very rare that we intervene, however we have received numerous complaints from forum regulars.

Whilst most of us may deny it, the Ruckers Forum is a fairly close knit online community, even though opinions often differ.

Please fellas, lets keep it clean. We would like to welcome all new users on to the forum without all the political ramble.

Until next  time.

Yours in rugga

Ed

Yeah politics and sport don't mix unless you got billions of valuable oil or minerals underneath you

Ooops

Can anyone please tell me how you insert a picture on this site?

Seriously Clean?! The Administrators here basically never interfere with anything on the forum. They have not said we may not swear, insult each other or anything else that would limit the average forum surfer. They have said no racism and no politics! That's it! You're getting your knickers in a knot over that? Grow up!

CC I see what you are saying, but surely you get where the Admin's are coming from. Threads are being started that have nothing do with any sport, let alone rugby. Those threads then become chest beating arguments that get personal. I also take part in the bullshit, so I am not innocent, but they are just trying to keep it about rugby, is that such a sin?

Not sure, but I suspect this forum supports only jpeg pictures. Many people save their images as a bmp- or gif file and I think that could cause a problem.

Also, the above picture has a 400x300 pixels size - which seems OK, but I'm not sure what the maximum allowable size is. Rooinek said a while ago that if the picture gets too big it will upset the margins and could cause an overlap with the text on the side margin.

CC...

Why you such a cock?

I think what Ed said is valid.

Keep race and politics (if it isnt sport related politics) out.

Was a fair comment.

This is the most lenient forum ive ever been on... don't think you should go about beating your chest about nothing buddy.

I got kicked of a rugby forum for proving a blue bulls supporter wrong.

That is what Saffers have to live with on SA forums

Blue - sure ... people go too far. There has to be a little control. It's the level of control that bothers me.

The Super Rugby message board was destroyed because of some ass wanting to demonstrate his newly acquired power.

We'll see how this works out.

@CC

Ive been a part of this forum for 3 odd years. As far as i know... its the exact same Ed.

I still get replies from them when i have a query.

I think he has posted no more than 3 or 4 times just ensuring that things don't get out of hand.

The longer you're on here for, the more you'll get to appreciate the guys that run the forum. They are by no means dictators as im sure you've noticed.

They hardly interfere. Great job done by them I say.

Well said ed. Its sad to see a political topic getting more attention and views than a rugby related topic. Essentially this is a rugby forum, stick to rugby!

The Board, as a SA site, has a dilemma with this topic. Asking us to avoid it, is fair enough.

The one that got actually got the most attention, is actually the one with the whinging about being moderated on another forum.

@cleancut

...it would seem that your name suits you... Looks like they cut it clean off. Stop acting like a girl.

Firstly, i looked back and can't see where i asked or wanted to be your friend? Sorry lonely heart.

I referred to you as a cock simply because of your total lack of maturity and understanding to what Ed had asked for.

You took it totally up the wrong hole.

Now lets drop it and get on with our lives.

You leave me, and i'll leave you.

CC what's the beef man. Occasionaly you come up with some pretty good rugby postings, but they are lost in this vitriolic stuff. Those posts you directed at me last week were really pretty off. Sitting behind my screen I don't know you, but stuff like that can't fail but to create a false impression. - I enjoy the argie bargie, probably more than the next man, but I simply can't believe those are the images you want to define you on the Board. Think about it.

Poi-e first explain to us what you see as racism. As evey argument can be countered by you are racist even if the other party was correct. That disqualifies his arguments and discredits him. Clever tactic used in internet forums when you see a defeat comping on.

Used in the most diverse senses, the terms “racism” and “racist” become prepackaged formulas, generating stereotypes. At first sight, branding a hostile position as racist could seem to benefit those who use this tactic by heaping on adversaries the disapproval the term “racism” entails. In fact, the result may be the exact opposite. If all aggressive behavior is “racist,” “racism” becomes as “normal” as ordinary feelings of hostility, hatred, aggression feelings present at all times and in every society. If everyone is racist, no one is racist: dilution leads to trivialization diluting responsibility is a classical tactic for relieving the guilty of their guilt!

So Fuck ya all
