The cities are in a mess as a result and they want more migrants, The filthy conditions in the cities are driving people away as well. Instead of looking after the homeless and doing psychological or medical needs of the homeless, they are not doing anything. The homeless populations increased by 16% in 2019 alone an is now circa 167 000. They live on the streets and do all their toiletries openly and in public. Use drugs and often broke into homes and businesses to get money - but that is not treated as a crime anymore,
That is one of the reasons why especially the middle class is fleeing to other states. California is moving to a third world situation where there soon will be the rich and the poor without a sustainable middle class. New York is following the same route. Even the mother of Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez fled from New York for the same reason. Besides that the laws in New York favour the criminals over the law-abiding citizens and that made the environment dangerous with a high homelessness problem as well.
