Ja, & as an aside, as auntie AngelaM said, ' the times when we could completely rely on others are , to an extent, over.'

The US & their allies have dodged a bullet getting rid of this muppet.

Well that would be a good thing. The US had to rescue Europe from the Nazis and then they had to protect the next generations of Germans from Russia for 45 years. One would imagine that might be  worth a little gratitude, but now that there is no longer an overt threat there apparently is a lot wrong with America.
But it still has its uses as a good market for German cars.

"Question for Trompie's fan club........... what's paramount, GOPism or Trumpism ?"

Neither. I'm a Libertarian at heart. I didn't like Trump, but the totalitarian fascist opposition of the far left opened my eyes to a few things. He was never given a fair chance. Total impediment since day one...the Hate told a story of its own.

Hell, before 2016, I didn't follow US politics at all. I thought Bill Clinton and Obama were good presidents...and I disliked Bush1...I say again, it was the way the left opposed Trump that turned me against them. I despise bullies.

In that case you should also despise Christianity then as well? They have bullied the world for centuries or is it only some bullies you despise and the ones you agree with you don't count as bullying?

Sader,

It might be time for you to admit that you are having serious reservations about being an atheist.

Come over to the agnostic club bud...we're much happier people.

No I am an atheist as I do not believe a god exists. I am just not claiming its a fact that no god exists. You as an agnostic are just sitting on the fence.

If you do not believe there is a god then you are an atheist.

More evil has been committed in the name of Christianity than in the name of the Devil...Christianity should be more about turning the other cheek than about an eye for an eye...so I despise the atrocities committed in the name of Christ even more than those done by heathens.

I'm also angry about injustices perpetrated over the years, but I don't hate God or the idea of a god for something humans did.

In the end it's about a choice between Good and Bad...and if it's bad, it's not from God...know them by the fruits they bear...Order vs Chaos...the Old War.

PS, I'm not the one who dragged religion into the discussion.

but crawl through a window where the elite are having a meeting (and shoot the woman)

and then we have to start talking about who has the keys to the nukes."

Think your confused Plum, being an Atheist is not saying a god does not or cannot exist I just BELIEVE  that no gods exist .

You as an agnostic just say you don't know and are to scared to say either way in case you are wrong. So are you an agnostic atheist (lean towards no god) or an agnostic theist (lean towards there is a god) ?

Draad yet you believe in the god of the bible that murders millions of people, The god of the bible is bad, in fact he is what anyone would call pure evil.

PS it was me that dragged religion into this discussion

Indeed, agnosticism is a complete cop-out for weak fence-sitters. No surprise to see ButtPlug in that corner.

The Squeaky Toy is just a very stupid person who parrots the few bits and pieces that he reads on his alt right websites and actually understands.

The alleged god of the old testament was a powerful presence if the scriptures are to be believed. Yes he could be a bit genocidal but he at least made things happen even if they were almost Trump-like in their conceit and self-importance (Just read the first 5 commandments) and he was a god to be feared with all his smiting of entire tribes and his raining down fire and brimstone on cities. People knew he was there. That god is either dead or an impostor has taken his place because this current god (indulging the delusional fantasy that there is one at all) just turns the other cheek and ignores people burning his churches and killing his people . . . while giving us a pandemic to deal with at the same time as a certified moron is in the most powerful position in the world.

I'm an atheist. The very idea of a benevolent "supreme" being who would allow so much evil is a bridge too far for me. He's either "supreme" as he claims but he doesn't care about evil, pandemics and poverty or else he does care about th ose things and is too weak to do anything about it.

It's one of the two.

Christianity was a vast moral advance on any religious views existing at the time. Christianity hasn’t always been implemented in the same spirit. But the role Christianity plays today is largely benign, catholic priests aside.....education, medicine, food. Would all these acts of charity be forthcoming absent the religious motivation? Very doubtful, burying oneself in a hellhole like Rwanda takes great courage and conviction.

Haha

So admitting that you don't know when you in fact don't know, is weak.

Instead, be strong and assume that human consciousness is the apex. Assume there is no greater and that, even if there was, you would be able to wrap your recently chimp brain around it. Always demand proof, because it will you help to avoid considering possibilities that you fear.

In a universe that we've barely explored beyond our atmosphere and where we haven't yet discovered the smallest particle. Where the smartest physicists can't make up their mind about the nature of reality and where the math tells us that we're probably infants within cosmic society.

Don't believe in a God because it's too mystical but certainly take the unexplainable quantum reality, upon which your reality is built, very seriously. Don't worry about the fact that physics keeps revealing more and more that the universe is likely created.

Believe what you like, RooiCommie.

I'll be on this fence forever...and a day.

PS This statement kinda reveals your philosophical ineptitude: "The very idea of a benevolent "supreme" being who would allow so much evil is a bridge too far for me."

I know you won't, but if you're citing earth's evils and human suffering as a reason to exclude a God from your worldview, perhaps reading some Kundalini teachings on the nature of life might help. Ja, not gonna happen...I know.

Netso Plum! He's an Atheist because he hates the idea of a god and the accountability that might come with that. "Do what thou wilt" out the window.

I am an Atheist because your religion (in fact all religions) is complete nonsense.

I struggle to understand how a 5 year can think its real let alone a adult.

I could say you are just a christian because you are a coward and cannot face the fact that when you die you cease to be.

I could say your just a christian because you are gullible fool

I could say you are a christian because you were indoctrinated into it

I could keep on making shit up just like you if you want.

I do not hate the idea of a god I simply do not believe there is one as I have seen no evidence that such a being exists.

I think your biggest problem is you hate the fact people think your religion is bullshit and your an idiot for believing in fairy tales so you have to come up with reason why they dont believe otherwise it is raises huge doubts about your religion

"I am an Atheist because your religion (in fact all religions) is complete nonsense."

Easy question should ha ve an easy answer...

Wasn't talking to you Sader...but I sense anger in your response all the same...

" I could say you are just a christian because you are a coward and cannot face the fact that when you die you cease to be. "

That would have it been way easier ...the path is narrow and hard...a struggle actually....your way is much simpler...no consequences actually...but let's leave it at that...we're way off topic. We both have our views and won't change our minds by discussing it here...
