Fair enough your story checks out on this occasion. But again what does it prove?. Name me one country on the planet where a native person hasn't at some point got off very lightly for a serious crime, you can't become none exist. It doesn't prove whether a country is particularly gullible.

It is particularly so in the USA where fake news is particularly problematic and what some media broadcast is believed by many people to be true. That is why it is always wise to check out what the media write and see whether it has merit.
I will give you an example. In the media at the time there was a big story about how each school in the Department where I worked for had only one microscope to be used by pupils. The truth was they had a microscope for use by every child doing biology in classes - that was about 50 in every high school. Every school had one very expensive microscope normally used by researches for medical research at universities and laboratories. At the time there was a Commission of Enquiry about press issues and the Chairman was not impressed with media reports on the issue when I provided that evidence at a hearing,
It taught me one thing - the media often publish or use sensation stories to be viable and that the stories should always be checked before they are believed.
Anyway to come to Soros there are two many parts of his stories that is unbelievable and only people with real knowledge of communist practices in states ruled by the Communists would have found Soros's stories about what happened to him real garbage,
I referred to his tales about his father's and his own conduct under the Nazi's and the Communists being garbage. It could never have happened under the Nazi's and their even worst successors the Communists, A number of visits to Communist countries was enough to convince me that real dictatorships would not have allowed things to happen on the basis Soros suggested it did.
One of the countries I did visit in 1973 and again in 1993 was Hungary. The bullet holes in buildings damaged during the 1956 Hungarian Revolt was still visible in the buildings the Hungarians would not repair it since it reminded them of one of the darkest periods in the history of Hungary.
Where was Soros in that case? He was dead quiet in New York and never said a word in support of the Rebellion. He became active in Hungary before the fall of Communism in what is characterized as philanthropy - but in reality was helping the Communists. Since the fall of Communism he is undermined every Government in Hungary, Why?
