Have you heard of Exercise Specific? It's exercises designed for a specific sport. The ones I'm doing are especially meant for any racquet sport as well as Golf. Being an avid Tennis player I thought you might be interested. I started about a month ago and already I'm starting to hit the ball a lot sharper and with a lot more consistency.

Denny anything that helps is needed.

I started the tennis season later than the others and I play now about three times a week. However the fanatics I play are on the court 5 or even more times a week. However, I have now drawn level and am about to pounce!!

Is there a web link?

Nope, no web link. Most of the exercises is done on one particular machine which was designed by a Seal 6 member. You'll find it in most gyms, I'm a member of Fitness First and I'll come back to you with what they call it over here. It's just slipped my memory, it's T R Ex or T Rex but if you're a member of a gym then you've probably walked passed it several times. To describe it, it's upright, one of those space saving things, has arms which can be slid horizonatally and can also be moved laterally, has cables which are attached to the weight setting. Alls you need then are the handles. Don't go heavy on the weights, the idea is to build strength with quick reps in sets. Movement is in the direction of either your forehand or backhand. In total I do about 4 to 5 other exercises eg squats, pulls and turns which replicate what is done on court. Basically you're just building strength in the muscles that you are using when you play.

Rugby season has barely started yet Johan claims it's the end of the world for SARugby.com! As if it will not survive. I hate to break it to him but SARugby.com has been around for some time now and will continue to grow.

Do you remember him sooking away and threatening to leave SS after complaining to Barlee. The complaint was put on the Forum and everyone lined up begging him to stay? If you read between his BS he doesn't provide a sliver of fact as to why he's upset enough to write a long winded post about leaving. Then the arrogance to predict the end of SARugby.com.....WOW!

Good riddance to him as well.
