Canterbury-Auckland the 2015 ITM cup Final

 After the 46-20 Canterbury's clean sweep over Taranaki the ITM cup Final will be Canterbury -Auckland next weekend.

I couldn't watch live Canterbury's game (6.00 a.m in Europe) and it's not yet avalaible to download but according to the score and what we've seen during the season, Canterbury is the clear fav to win it again after last year's lapsus. They have one only obstacle remaining: Akira Ioane.
He has the words All Blacks written all over him. He will be the next AB nº8,... very probably he'll begin next year as blindside and in a 2-3 years time replace Kieran Read as nº8.
In their semifinal against the makos he was inmense, he was the soul and spirit of the team. While he was on the field Auckland took a clear advantage 34-3,.... he was everywhere, carrying the ball and beating defenders (he almost average one DB per carry), getting an awesome try, tackling, getting pilfers (one of them lead to another try),....
He left the field in the 55th minute and suddenly the makos found the way to get 3 uncontested tries and what was a clear advantage was reduced to a dangerous 37-24. Finally George Moala, the other prominent and pillar of this team (Piutau was quite quiet yesterday as he's been during the whole itm season), put end to the match with his try.
Worthy to watch this match, specially Ioane's performance,... outstanding.

 The real final well be Welly and Hawkes Bay. Wellington beat Otago tonight 34-14. Sorta revenge for the Super Rugby final lol. Wanganui where I live, and played for a bit, are in the Meads Cup final. Might not know this but Tikorotima who played for the Chiefs, and played for Fiji at this years WC, I played with him back in Wanganui Club Rugby .

 Akira is one to watch for sure ,and a wicked name to boot ! What relation is he to Digby Ioane ? Who I reckon was wasted  in the Wobs .Wanganui is one of my favourite memories ,last time I was there I booked a motel room at the end of the bridge and went to my GFs formal at the girls private school at the opposite end ,naturally naughtiness was  the order of the day ! [ this was back in the 70s] And then there was the time I took a GS 1000 Suzuki up the railway tracks there as a shortcut and.....
