Come on the Protea's Oz 24 for 2
Hey Red, Philander got 1 in the first innings
He took 7 1st innings wickets and will probably take 7 again this innings but what are the rest doing?? Johnson cant carry them forever. We all know that.
SA still has the best bowling attack in the world and isn't it about time the Aussies actually get a win over SA anyway. I mean, we have come to Australia and beaten you the last 2 series ;-)
Anyway, fuck cricket. Its rugby time now. Maybe Johnson can help one of your franchises out too ;-)
Yep - understand the sentiments... then again te st cricket is an interesting sport can change very easily...
lol - logic sense a bit of tension there.... Mitch has been in fine form for the entire summer and prior to that in india too.
Agree tho he is a key man for the aussies...
Re rugby we got another week to get serious over here about it but when was the last saffa team to win the s15... think it was 2010? or 2009? Reds 2011 still in front there baby... although I am not holding my breath for a big showing from the boys this year.... hopefully they surpurse...
snapster you halfwit how many times has Duminy to fail. He is not a test class spinner but neither is Pietersen. Go with ypou best bowlers - and if its all pace thats too bad. Duminy is not good enough as a spinner or as a batsman. He has the ability but not the head.
Our daft system here doesn' t think spin is a vital ingredient. When last did we have a really class spinner?
saffas have never won spXV, but they have 3 spXIV titles. no small feat.
between NZs iron grip hold on the rugby world and australia rise in cricket, i sense a lot of in house fighting from our saffa brus for 2014, :o/
@benno,
the consensus seems to say that smith erred in making the aussies bat first???
Snapster your hero Duminy has a average of 32. We cant go on with him. This could be last chance saloon for the oak - you cant go on failing indefintely.
Lyon is way ahead of our two so called spinners and Lyon is no great spinner.
Snapster have you ever played the game?
@sas amusing indeed listening to these boys implode... like their cricket teams' inevitable implosion post this test match.... I told you kallis saw this coming and bailed whilst @ the top... smart man...
Beeno - no one to blame but saffas themselves - u cant drop Warner 3xs in any match because he can hurt any team very quickly and had he been caught 1/3 times the rest of the aussies bats might have collapsed making it a lot closer match...
I did tell you the aussies were re-building and they are playing good cricket ...
Duminy almost bowled by a ball a foot above the turf! Hang the groundsman. Oz have just had luck luck running their way.
haahaha too funny - nothing half-witted about the comments from ol 'res' - I just know that cricket is on the rise for the aussies after a few years of tough going...
If you really want to look @ records I would think that G Smith v Australia is actually presiding over quite a low winning percentage....
Just remember that the aussies batted on the same wicket - it just the saffas cant hang onto catches...
His problem is not talent its head.
This one is your Reds lets see how it pans out in the next two.
Can anyone tell me if De lange is fit.
brother beeno u souind very annoyed, not ur usual optimistic happy self
i think u need a juice box and a nap,
cheer up buddy and im sorry about ur cricket woes,,,,,,, not so much about ur rugby woes though,
Hope that clarifies matters.
Looking for ward to PE test at least we cant have a wicket like this.
"saSUE please oak its just been a bad day or two at the office."
u must be talking abouth the cricket, cos in rugby its been badd for the last 5 years,
"Looking forward to PE test at least we cant have a wicket like this."i see ur cricket and rugby philosophies are very similar, always looking forward to next time,
time for the saffas to bounce back in test 2, for that is what being champion is all about.
if not, then the australian era really is upon the cricket world, just as red has predicted,
bright side is, it could be worse, u could be the NZ cricket team.
Well guys after this "arse kicking" by the Proteas it appears that is back to the drawing boards for SA Cricket.
Step #1: select on merit.
Step #2: select on merit.
Step #3: if steps #1 and #2 don't work out then fall back on MERIT SELECTION.
This plan has proven to work in all sports including cricket.
Remember sport is played and watched by people who want WINNERS.
We have had enough LOSERS since we were allowed back into the fold of internetional sport.
