Balls - I said that Swiel had ball sense and have potential to develop further - he was not my great pick.   Swiel has something Morne never had - ball sense and the ability to take decisions for the benefit of the team he played for.  He has a contract at Harlequins now and will do well for them.

 Sharkbok

I have been a Swiel fan since his school days and this kid has something  I have not seen in any SA flyhalf for many years.   He has -

*  massive ball sense - I call him the ball sense whiz kid - where he is better than Goosen and Lambie (who has ball sense bit to a smaller extent) and Morne Steyn ( ho has none of that quality);

*  speed - with an eye for a gap where there seems to be none;

*  the ability to create space for other players who can carry balls further - it is not the tries he scores himself that is all-important, it is the tries that he creates which is even of more importance;

*   the ability to kick at goal and virtually never misses a kick; and

*   the ability to take tackles without dieing with the ball; and

*   the ability to defend excellently.

Whenever I see him playing I think how we miss at senior ranks a player that can really play the ball like he does.   I have a feeling that Timo will be the Sharks flyhalf this year and I think that the following backline might be evolved by Jake White:-

15  Lambie

14  Mvovo

13  Whitehead

12  Jordaan

11  Marais

10  Swiel

  9  Reinach

When the Chiefs still think what will happen, the tries under the post would already have been scored and converted.   All the above has amazing speed and are sound defenders - they all are clever players.

Cannot find a place for the slow and dull Francois Steyn in that backline.  When Swiel has created space for the backline - Steyn would kill the move by crashballing - or he would be nowhere in sight because of speed deficiency.

Swiel is a dead cert for my fanatasy team selection - that is for sure.

The only thing that is wrong with that is you lied about Swiel being your great pick.

Mozart does not understand flyhalf play.  He thinks that the requirement for a flyhalf is 90% kicking and the rest is near to zero.  That is why clueless players like Morne and Francois Steyn are good flyhalfs and a a player that can read the game and make decisions is poor.
His heroes cannot attack the gain line successfully - their defense is sh!tpoor - their kicking game out of hand aimless and inaccurate - but they are his heroes and can do no wrong.
His ideas about what is pressure kicks and what not is a joke. Lambie's 55 meter kick in the Ellis Park test against the AB's is not a pressure kick - Morne's kicks for Stade Francais is.   That represents his thinking on flyhalf play - illogical and prejudiced beyond belied.
When one reminds him of the Perth test he tried his utmost to protect his hero and what comes is typical Mozart BS.

Let's not get confused as a hooker tells a former flyhalf that he doesn't understand flyhalf play .....this is not about whether Swiel is any good. I happen to think he isn't but that's not the point.
The point is Tokkie said: " he was not my great pick" ....when the second post shows clearly he was.
Another Tokkie lie properly recorded.

 Mozart
That was for the Sharks team - you blazing idiot.   White buggered it up when he preferred the clueless, fat and slow Francois Steyn when Lambie was not available.   Please note that posting was in December 2013 - when it was not clear when Fat Fransie will be back after he was told that year he is no center - and the chorus of commentators was that he is no flyhalf either.
To select Fransie ahead of Swiel is like selecting a mule ahead of the July winner - but White did that and it destroyed the Sharks backline.
I never selected Swiel is Springbok flyhalf, but did say he has the potential to become such.
Your favourite Fat Fransie was pathetic since his return from France - and he let you eat crow constantly - is that why you are so besotted about crow?

Ah so it was only for the Sharks....but then there is this:

"This old bugger is so intent on discrediting members that he does not realize how stupid he really is.   He thus display an absolute lack o knowledge about rugby and it toally igmnorant about player performances.

The above is obvious - but is further illustrated by the following contribution I made in January 2013 and whisch he looked up in an effort to discredit me:-

"I think that the following are going to come through in the Under 20 WC, the CC nd even in Super 15 and we may see some new faces in the Springboks as well:-

  *   Timo Swiel - the real ball sense wiz kid

  *   Jan Serfontein - top quality World class player

  *    Raymond Rhule - top future wing"

If you like I can show you where you compared him favorably to Pollard as well.....eat crow.

That you blithering old fool was when the Under 20's was discussed - not the Springboks - so he is still scampering around like a cat on a hot tin roof.
let me explain this to some who do not know - the old fool never saw Swiel playing and condemned him in advance.   That is a fact - and he is talking constant rubbish about things and implies that it applies to other aspects as well.
Fat Fransie has given him so much crow to eat - he is an addict at present and thinks others are prepared to join him.

And just to put you out of your agony Tokkie the coup  de grace:

RE: Sloth Alberts - is it possible
January 09, 2014, 08:25:23

Cleancut

A couple of things that I am looking forward to in Super 15 this year.   I am confident that the Sharks will do well this year.   They potentially have a top backline - but ther are things to be sorted pout, namely -

*   will Francois Steyn actually repeat last years atrocious performances or will he get his physical fitness and speed back on track; and

*   will Lambie really shine at 10 as he used to when he forst came to notice.

If Lambie does not up his game considerably he is in danger of being replaced by Swiel.   If that happens - and I have a feelng it may happen - then Swiel will be in competition with Goosen for Springbok selection.

As to the Lions I always had reservations about them in the past when they were in Supper 15.   They had a combination of what they regarded as key players - problem was that the same key players constantly let them down and were not replaced timeously.

The Lions now have a younger and more competitive team.   I especially like Stokkies Hanekom as a 13 - he may yet go places in that position.   There only real drawback is Earl Silky Hands Jantjies - if he repeats his performances of 2013 the Lions will go one way  and that is down.   I hope Ackerman bear that in mind and replace him - they have Boshoff - a much better flyhalf in any event.

However, I think the Lions will be the surprise package this year and I am looking forward to their performances.

How can one man get it so wrong. Even worse, how can one man get it so wrong and still think he is a sly old fox well ahead of the game? This is worse than embarrassing! Mozart, have some mercy and relent from your feeding freezing!! He was dead long ago. That some still take him seriously truly beggars belief.

Let me be clear " Mozart lies all the time"  - he has no ethics at all and is a career liar. He quoted the following:
"Some new faces in the Springboks"......game set and another match."
What was said is the following:-
"I think that the following are going to come through in the Under 20 WC, the CC nd even in Super 15 and we may see some new faces in the Springboks as well"
What he quoted and what was actually written is completely different.  Like his match descriptions the above indicate to which this old fool is a liar and misrepresents things what was in fact written.   This is what he does constantly - he lies about things and when caught out he has no hesitation to pile lie upon lie to try and cover his tracks.
I have never before come across such a bloody professional liar in my life.  What a disgrace this bloody idiot really is.  Rooinek despises him because of his lies and misrepresentations - I think the bloody idiot is worse.

Actually you ineffably stupid old fool, the only reason you can quote that and try to worm out, is because I had the integrity to post the whole paragraph...nothing was hidden, it's all there in the bright light of day.

But I would say the posting where you say Hoosen and Swiel will vie for the Bok jersey is dispositive, indisputable in fact. Enjoy your crow.

Nothing was hidden - but you actually lied when you quoted only part of what i have written and not the full quote in a further message under this thread.
Yous till continue with the same thing now I said that Hoosen (whomever that would be) and Swiel may in future compete for Springbok selection - that is an opinion - not a fact.  You turn that into a fact and it consequently becomes another Mozart lie.
Have you no shame or are you too despicable to have any?
