....he looks sort of terrifying. After blasting Hollenbach, a tough nut, out of the game.... he makes the third most metres, a clean break, an offload, a lineout poach and all his tackles. And many of those tackles were dentist specials.

It was a nice display from Etzebeth, it's good to see that he's starting to get into his running game with more metres gained, we haven't seen much of that after 2013.

I do hope he continues to keep the form up towards the playoffs and stays uninjured. He's an important part of the tight five, a real powerful lock.

Great display by Etzebeth and what happened to your hero Matfield - who had the worst display of any SA lock this weekend.   What the latter came up with was horribly poor and should show anyone that he does not deserve to be anywhere near  the Springbok team.

Doubt that match will have any bearings for matches against the Kiwi/Aussie teams, they know if they go low Etzebeth can be taken down quite easily. I didn't watch the Lions game so did they go low and Etzebeth still get those metres?

Oh you mean the AB matches....like the one where Eben gassed Ben Smith down the touchline? Perhaps it might be helpful if you actually watched the Lions game.

I said it before, Eben looks hungry. Sort of like "Crazy Tom" Brady last Super Bowl run. That's what I look for in a player, not the typical South African passive types. The kind like Pieter Steph du Toit-Pom.

Foeitog and you like the old age loafer who is not worth anything on a rugby field as well.   What a bloody idiot we have here.

Mozart, pot calling the kettle black much? You constantly judge players having barely watched them. Also you've jumped the gun a bit, I'm talking about this years Super 15, not 2 years ago when he was the most inform lock in the world.

I'm also talking about this year's S15.....about yesterday in fact. Get up to date and this might go better for you!

Eben is better this year than any other, if he translates that form to the Boks it will be his best year, period!

Gee, just the other day you said Eben is overrated and should not even be our starting 4.

Who? Me? I have said Eben is a very good player all along, very effective when he gets more involved. My chief criticism has been that he has gone missing in action for large periods, but I had noted his work with the Stormers where he has been everywhere. Personally I do love the power of Flip, but have never had a problem with Eben. It's the other pretenders that have been very uninspiring; Kruger, Steph, Bekker, Mostert et al.

Etzebeth is the best lock in the game right now by some distance

He was the best I've seen him in a long time against the Lions. It's quite a therapeutic site seeing a big second rower powering down the wing

Get in two locks like Etzebeth and forget about all this silly stuff that a numnber 5 lock must be a stringbean.
