A motley crew in FIFA.....I think the sevens in the Olympics is going to give rugby a big boost. But if the IRB want sponsors a WC in the USA would help. Why not...it would be huge, just like the soccer cup  in the nineties. Hell even your flaccid team filled Soldiers' Field Wardad .

Not sure which is more embarrassing for South Africa . . . the fact that we bribed FIFA to get the World Cup or the fact that we're still denying it.

Ours is a country riddled with corruption. Thanks to the examples set by our so-called "leaders", things like bribery, nepotism, kickbacks and self-enrichment have become the norm . . . and yet here we are sounding all indignant because people dare to accuse us of bribery and claiming the allegations are baseless.

Our president is an uneducated polygamous goatherd who didn't have the courage or the integrity to face his charges of corruption before taking power and who has since embarrassed us with his utter incompetence, plunged the country into one crisis after another while stealing tax payers money to enrich himself. That is the example being set in this country which has resulted in the rot and decay we see in politics, business, administration, service delivery and sport.

There is plenty more embarrassment to come. Apart from the fact that later today the allegations are going to be responded to by a blundering fool who is a confirmed racist and ex ANC Youth Leage leader, this is not something that the SA government will be able to bury like they did with the Arms Deal, the world's eyes are on this fiasco and we have nowhere to hide.

Forget all the affected cameraderie, the "Rainbow Nation" platitudes that were bandied about and the thin veil of infrastructure upgrades that we used to paper over the cracks before the 2010 World Cup . . . now we're seeing the real South Africa . . . the greedy, corrupt, xenophobic, self-serving, incompetent, violent, race-obsessed and rotten South Africa.

This all sounds good, but it seems as if Blatter still has massive support outside Europe. It also appears as though the elections set for tomorrow will go ahead. So the teflon snake Blatter will keep steering soccer into the abyss. He is the problem with soccer! T he corruption and dishonesty starts with him right at the top and filters all the way down to the diving and cheating players "on the ground". Pfffft!

And at what point do the Swiss bear some responsibility? This has been happening in their own backyard for a long long time, with FIFA and numerous other organizations, and only now they are "launching" an investigation. Its no coincidence that most international sports organizations headquarter there. Lax enforcement, hardly any regulation and an opaque judicial system. Their banks have long looked the other way if not been complicit in enabling criminal enterprises and corrupt governments to hide their money. Their "neutrality" is a farce, and only skin deep.

No Dave, I think I'm going to be one of the bittereinders. I seriously considered emigrating around about the turn of the millennium but my kids were all adamant that they were staying in SA so here I am . . . doing whatever little thing I can do to make this a better place for my grandchildren to live in.

I'll back Putin over the West any day. Our greatest enemies are our own globalist leaders, and the power structure above them. The EU and the USA are on a downward curve and disseminating corruption and bloodshed on a level never before seen in human history. 

All politicians are corrupt Lestat, but I'd rather live with a corrupt president in a first world country like the US or England, than a third world dump that also has a corrupt president! Based on your approach to politics I am sure you agree with Fekile Mbalula is saying the $10,000,000 dollars in a brief case "paid" to some obscure football association, is just the US picking on poor little South Africa and was not a bribe! Who pays $10,000,000 dollars in cash carried in a brief case ? 
I suppose China are also very innocent in your book, and are just running half of Africa because they want help uplift it.
