He is dead serious about Francois Steyn at 10.  This is not the first thread on that score he started - it must be about the tenth one.  Baiting would consist on one or even two threads - not the amount of bullshit he poured out endlessly on that topic.
Every successful goal kick results in endless praise singing and absolute ignoring of what Steyn otherwise produces.   It really is a joke - but Mozart must be in a serious state of illusion in this particular case.

I am not interested in your personal arguments with other members.   What really interest me is how come you ignore Steyn's poor all-round performances in the games he played at center or flyhalf.
In practice Steyn had a good first game against the Bulls this year and then deterioration set in.   He buggered up badly against the Hurricanes and after that he became progressively poorer in every subsequent game.
His only redeeming quality was his kicking at goal - in all other aspects if the game he was putrid.   That was the situation on the field of play and was supported by the match stats.
Why do you only deal with his kicking at goal and ignore the other aspects of his game?
Incidentally Plumtree and the general public in KwaZulu-Natal saw the same tendencies last year in the four games he played in and then dropped Steyn from the starting line up for non-performance.   I know Steyn is a favourate of White - but that will not help his cause if he keeps on under-performing.

You can believe what you want and so can the journalists - but what about the extremely poor stats of Steyn.   We all know journalists are blinded by things like goal kicking - just like you - and ignore the rest of a player's performance - even atrocious performances.
So here is the stats of Steyn for that game:-

All the above indicates a player -
*   that was ineffective in carrying balls - 8 carries for a total gain of 13 meters'*   who lost possession of the ball twice *   who was atrociously poor in defense -missing 50% of his attempted tackles; and*   who gave away a penalty to boot.
I have no problem with his goal kicking - his only redeeming factor - the rest of his game was an insult - especially bearing in mind the fact that he is supposed to be a senior player in the team.
I am not only looking at the stats - I also looked at his performance on the field and in some ways it was even worse than reflected in the stats - wild and inaccurate passing was common and very dangerous since it handed over possession to the opposition and the recipients get the blame for it  in stats - not the passer.   And then there was the case where little Faf ran around him and he did not even attempt a tackle.  

The fifth round performance was even worse than the fourth round.  
You may wish to accept stats when it fits your purpose and ignore it when it does not - but I look at overall performances on the field of play and if the stats support what I saw - I am fully prepared to accept those as factual as well. 
Steyn's goal kicking was good - the rest of his performance and insult to what is expected from a flyhalf.
