Pathetic game management from the Highlanders. 
There are 4 or 5 minutes left on the clock, you're 7 points down against 13 men and you get a penalty bang in front of the posts . . . what do you do? Yes, you take the 3 points, get into range to win the game and give yourself 3 or 4 minutes to score the winning try against 13 men.
What you don't do is waste time having a long discussion on what to do and then make the unbelievably stupid decision to kick for touch. I mean really, it beggars belief! Even when the Highlanders did score the try at the end, Parker the tryscorer was so painfully unaware of the match situation that he still celebrated the score with his mates before throwing the ball away . . . even though he was the one taking the kick! He then still stuffed around long enough to make sure there was no restart after the failed conversion. They had seconds to play with and they just didn;t seem to care. Against 13 men all they had to do was ensure a restart to give themselves a real shot at the win.
I can't recall so many bad decisions in such a short space of time. Not sure whose idea it was to kick for touch but that person shouldn't be making any decisions on a rugby field in future. Utter incompetence and stupidity from the Highlanders . . . but well done to the Force! 

 you said it Rooinek. Hands down, Highlanders should take the Gong for Dumbest and Stupidest Team of the Year.

 Yeah, sad but true, Landers were plain stupid in terms of their play in the last 5 minutes. Terrible....  there are not words that can really describe how bad that was.

damn could only watch the last 10 minutes, storm was messing with reception big time.

good win for the force, highlanders deserve to lose, could not believe how much time the highlanders were wasting in that last 5 minutes, it was like they didnt care about the match.

ben smith and nasi manu need to pull finger, cos there was nobody leading the highlanders.
