some critical selection issues, out of form Willie is one as well as the injured Lood. Besides being out of form, Willie has no boot. I would replace him with Lambie and have Morne on the bench. Anyone thinking of adopting an attacking strategy is dreaming, the JW strategy of choking down on the AB attack is our best and only option. Defence and a good kicking game will do it for the Boks providing that they stick to the gameplan with consistency. |The AB's must be denied rythem. The old dog Matfield will do the job.

Spot on Denny. We have to play it tight. Kick very well tactically. Make every first tackle...the failure to do that is how the ABs killed France. And we need to be clinical on the counter.

It's a very tough ask....but if we can do it for the first 20 minutes it becomes easier.

Rubbish, Willie is a must at 15.....problem is our useless coach wants him to play the kicking game because we are playing in the NH.....he needs to instruct Willie to play to his strengths......free spirited and setting up our attacks.

We don't need useless Morne or Matfield anywhere near the squad.

Lood will be a big loss, but PSDT is a monster of a player, I'd be more than happy with him filling in......in fact I think PSDT will prove even better than Lood one day.....that's how good he is

If we play it tight there should be no place for Matfield - he is useless in Tight 5 play.

Leaving Willie out of our side would be like leaving AB out of our cricket side

As much as I dislike Lamebies game, at 15 he presents the attractive option of aerial security. But Willie's playmaking makes our attack work and is a vastly more skilled player. Added to that he is quick. I do value mobility in the back field at 15 and presenting a dangerous counter attacker may well be more a deterrent than a slow Lambie with a predictable hoof back at them. Willie has also been good under the high ball and better on defence than Lambie would have been. It's a question of how defensive do you intend to be? Lambie would be a very drastic step towards being a turtle in its shell. And then of course, how much pressure can our front 3 soak up? I propose using the ball more in the right areas of the field, make them defend. New Zealand are suspect defensively but still lethal if you present a passive front.

Lambie is a great 10 and at best a solid 15

First name on the Bok team sheet should always be Willie......he is the one real gem we have

Lamebie is our worst 10. Easily.

I'll also go with Bambie at 15. Morne, Kriel and Wille on the bench. I'd rather play Habana at 9 in the event of an injury  to FdP, than waste a spot on the bench with Pienaar...controversial I know, but...

The Breaking News out of the Bok camp is pretty much as I've predicted....HM is having a hard look at the fullback position. Le Roux is clearly out of form and has to be replaced, the Boks cannot afford to have a pap out of hand kicker who is a tragic under the high ball. I hope Kriel is left at 13 and Lambie is slotted in at 15.

Willie Le Roux is playing as per instructed by HM.....no doubt about that in my mind.
I for one cannot see or understand how a player with his flare can change his game so dramatically without being ordered/forced to.
Willie is a natural ball player.....just let him play his style of rugby.....please.

i wont tinker with the combinations willie under the perfect circumstances can change the game but a mecurial player like willie will never perform when he is starved of the ball. much like habana and co the outside backs are starved of the ball and as a net result there confidence is at the moment shot to bits.
picking lambie at 15 is a decent option as that would also give meyer a onfield kicking option but is lambie more secure than willie ??? that remains to be seen.
i am sure meyer wants to turn this game into a snore kicking fest as he has not answers to counter the all blacks with proper attack so if that is the case expect a lot of aimless kicking and a burnt out bok team form defending for 70 % of time losing it at the end.
go with willie but give him proper support by allowing petersen and habana to fall back and give him proper cover when there is kicks. willie is not being used to his strong suites at all

It's too late now, and I know most would not agree, but Fransie would have been a perfect 25 on Saturday. Vision...check, huge boot...check, running hard and joining thd line...check, long drop kicks...check, long penalties. ..check. Defenfing the high ball and slotting in everywhere in the backline...check. Better than "Sideshow Bob" ....check...anf then some. Like Willie, but he is trying too hard most of the time...rather him than Bob though.
