Bonjour Cloudy, Hi Seb; my internet feed is unreliable so I lost the game for a while. Se*xton is out. Not good for Ireland. France said they would target him so hopefully it was legal.

Now O'Connell is injured. This is a brutal game, play off intensity.

I love both nations and my own  birthplace but respect is long gone to these savages who try to rule this country

French defense looks good. Ireland keep trying to power past the gainline but going nowhere. Finally a penalty against Ireland.

Good try by Ireland. Finally the pounding paid off. French defence is nothing to be scoffed about though.

Being Irish I am pleased with the way Ireland played shame about the injuries but the subs have done a great job.

Congrats to Ireland, France played well on defence but they were on defence all night. Ireland showed really good control of the ball in phases. The stats must be hugely in the favour for offence. Were the French holding back and taking this as a training run for defence. Who knows.

The French were slaughtered at the breakdown and in the lineouts...and. Finally in the scrums. Basteraud  and Michalak were very vulnerable on defence. I thought Spedding was magnificent in a losing cause. For the Irish they were all terrific.

Pakie, I only caught bit of it because of bad internet feed but I saw enough to know I missed a good one.

The live feeds are usually patchy here as well, although the Aus/Wales one worked well last night. To think I was washing and polishing my car while all this fun was being had

Both Ireland & Wales get through to the 1/4 finals but with a fair few injuries. ABs have one, Boks none. Oz a couple (Poc*ock, Falau) but not sure how serious. Argentina seem fine. Scotland are ok as far as I can remember.
