I see Josh Strauss has been included in the Scottish World Cup squad. Glad he'll get to play at the World Cup, but I bet he'd give his left nut to be doing so for South Africa and not Scotland.

Strauss was more beard than rugby player....like most of our exiles he will in all probability not even be an NH regular. We are always warned about the loss of players to other countries.

There have not been many of our players that have actually qualified to play for other sides......Barritt has been a hit with England as was Mike Catt.
No big names have left our shores and qualified to play for another side......CJ Stander will be the first with Ireland, Strauss will do the same with Scotland.
Most of the players that used to leave were past their prime......that trend has now changed and we will see many talented young players end up playing for other countries.
With the likes of say Willemse off in France, chances are we might see him playing for France in 3 years time, much like a whole host of young stars. We never used to lose them young, we do now.......it used to only be the has beens that went north
