LONDON, 19 Oct - The match officials have been confirmed for the semi-final stage of Rugby World Cup 2015 this weekend with Jérôme Garcès and Wayne Barnes selected as referees.

The first semi-final will take place at Twickenham between South Africa and New Zealand on Saturday (kick-off 16:00) with France’s Garcès in the middle. He will be joined on the line by compatriot Romain Poite and Ireland’s John Lacey with George Ayoub of Australia being the television match official.

The following day at the same venue, Argentina will take on Australia in the second semi-final (kick-off 16:00) and England’s Wayne Barnes will take charge. His assistant referees will be Jaco Peyper of South Africa and Ireland’s George Clancy. New Zealand’s Ben Skeen will be TMO.

The final and bronze final appointments will be announced in due course.

This will always have to be referees from countries not involved in the relevant games - so the candidates for the final will also depend on who is in the final and bronze medal contenders.  The likely candidates will most likely be  from the NH countries,

george ayoub and ben skeen is to the TMO,  like francois louw is to the loose forward, they are worst people/person possible for those positions.

World Rugby has just confirmed that Joubert should have awarded a scrum to the Aussies rather than a penalty but the rules prevented him going to the TMO [ not that that rule has stopped the likes of barnes ] The wobs should feel at the very least embarrassed to be where they dont belong ,hopefully the Argies will redress matters and bring about some Karmic alignment ! .Considering some git had already  fired a bottle at him jouberts decision to vacate the premises might have been a wise one ,hope we dont see a repeat of the shameful Farcebook gurly-man nonsense some squeezers like to indulge in .He made a mistake end of .
