Wehad 29 defenders beaten to their 18 says Mallet.Mallet feels Boks deserved to win.
Well done to Boks B
Carlos Spencer commends Boks. Says boks should stick with this mindset. To me it was good balanced game.
I am left with no doubt that with the extra quality back we should definitely be able to beat teh wee abs.
Naas said this mindset change should have happened two years ago. Meyer is a slow coach but on this performance we could get there for RWC.
Boks should also have gone 6 points ahead by taking penalty.

Hi there Cloudy. I think actually we are moving ahead of the wee abs.
Boks can face the abs in semis with plenty of confidence.
The Bok dominance in the first 60 minutes can be continued with the extra quality we have coming back.
This must be concerning Hansen.
Mallet and Naas querying who called the uncontested scrums.

Fitzy thinks Sopoaga did well enough to be considered a starter at 10 i f Carter is  out. So he is getting some good raps.
Boks have two games against Argies, they will have to win these two games to get some confidence.

Cloudy it was the Bok B side so our B side that started was better than your team. Note this please Kbbs. Lots of quality coming back for us. It has to be doubtfull the wee abs can stay with a first team Bok squad.
See you at RWC.

  Mr. Been,

you can dream whatever you want about the WC,....... but the reality is that the AB with an experimental side beat the boks and next weekend the AB will be playing to win the RC while the boks will be playing for avoiding the wooden spoon

The TV panel seem to think the Bok managment did not advise the ref that trevor can scrum on both sides. It appears that the ref made the call. They are saying Burger should have contested the call. It was an advantage to us that we should be scrumming with wee abs down to 7 men.Bit of a mystery.

Ab ass you can only hope your team was experimental as our starting B side kicked your sorry butt s.
Meyer must now give his young guns who have done so well more time.I trust Jannie, Kock and Willie are okay.
I wonder if Du Toit, Kitshoff and Jean are going to play soon. Also how are Marcell and Duanne. recovering. They need to play!

Err Beeno, remember you were predicting a win even with the team the Boks selected.
What we have to look at is how did lood do at lock (at least 3 lineouts lost but maybe not his fault); why did boks go to uncontested scrums? What these two fact meant was the Boks could not win the set piece in the latter part of the game. Game over.

I don't know why the uncontested scrum was called and why the Boks did'nt object to it,  but we should have used that opportuniy to close the game out.  That's where the game was lost.

Card please oak why make yourself look silly. Allende was excellent and Lood also. There were no real weak links with the starting 15. While they were in tact we were dominating. Injuries to Jannie, Koch and Willie didnt help.
All very promising for Boks.

 Mr. Been,

"our starting B side kicked your sorry butts."

really? do I have to remind you that the score was 20-27 to the AB?

P. S. it wasn't your B side, it was the best side the boks can present apppart from injuries but injuries are part of the game, the boks have now some injuries and will have others come the WC. Part of the game.

Alot of missed tackles along 10-12-13, closer examination will reveal the culprit. NZ lacked their usual cohesion along the same axis, they hardly brought Nonu into the game at all, which is very unusual.

ab ass and other kbbs. Our starting 15 kicked your butts for sure. Trouble was injuries and lessor players let it slip. Given the quality coming back our bench will have a big positive impact.
Cant really see the wee abs matching  us then.
Brycy I agree we should play our B team versus Samoa. Very dirty side (Possibly the dirtiest side playing rugby) so why risk injuries from dirty play when ones B team is enough to  beat them?
Sometimes ou brycy gets it right but for the wrong reasons. Bwahahahahahahahahahhahaha
I see old Card knocking the outstanding players like Lood and Allende. Hilarious stuff but somewhat tragic! How much egg is he having to bear when the whole world applauds these players but the Desert Fox!!
You could do some Lambie bashing card and get away with it but to pick out star turns is not on. The EGG lands.

JW had that team remained intact it would obvioulsy have won.
Our B team kicked your sorry buts No ifs and buts about it.
Given a potent bench and no injuries there would only have been one winner. The MIGHTY BOKS.
Ritchie was poor and his being able to go through unmarked was hardly a feat. Sincerely hope he plays come RWC.  A nice moment for Cloudy though!

Ab ass if you think the players I mentioned wont make a big difference to our match 23 you are dafter than a hatter.
The abs had about their best side on the park barring Savea. You dont have a great flyhalf so cant complain about the youngster as who would do better. Pollard will outplay whoever you field. It appears however that so will Allende and Kriel.
Our backs are gaining parity and with our top forwards fit again the abs will get a severe snotklap. No ways will they be able to compete.
Hansen has won this test via some professional fouls and a tricky lineout move but he must be a worried man. He knows the score.
Beeno setting the kbbs straight as usual.

Glad you are still laughing Beeno, better than the bitter weeping we have witnessed on this board in the past. Let me remind you that the objective of the game is to win (score more points than the other team). Also, you should be able to win your home games.
Anyway, this game served its purpose as both teams got to try out relatively new players in the toughest of conditions, i.e. the number 1 and 2 team battle.
Mozart will probably point out that had Matfield been on the field the lineout would have been won & the uncontested scrums would not have taken place. We will find out detailed later but Burger's leadership will be questioned on this point. He did however have a good game overall.

JW I am as calm as the proverbail cucumber and pelased with what I saw from te starting 15. With our quality players back I think we will move ahead of the abs. Frankly as mallet said the Boks deserved the win.
Wolrd refs must take note of the oft seen ab tactic of red zone infringments. Theya re serial offenders and its time the law caught up on them. Also holding and tackling players not involved in play. Its all very obvious and needs to be dealt with.
Beeno not impressed at all!

..Bean Brain at least you've been consistent  - two from two...not surprised given yr accountancy skills yr confused with what side of the ledger those lie in...but many are suggesting the Boks after leading both games haven't got the mental toughness to close the big games...I would add fitness, skills and class players to that list..

this thread shows the very common pattern on these live nz team vs sa team threads....

- many saffas throwing their two rands every minute at the beginning of the match
- nz team wins
- beeno flies the saffa flag solo while blowing a vuvuzela and explaining why SA team really won

LMAO.,

and for the record, how many times have the boks won the RC/4nats???

and please dont talk about my 5exy arse, it makes me feel the same way a saffa does when he stares at south africas rugby trophy cabinet, uncomfortable and sad,

Jerome I think underneath it all the abs were rocked to the boots by this Bok B starting 15. They now know its highly unlikely they will get past the semi finals of the RWC. Their hope lies in our injuries and Meyer messing up with we victor 105 kg and 38 years old, poor selections and quotas.
Compare matfiled with Lodewyk who is 125kg. Lodewyk is 2.05m - matfiled 2.01.Lood is faster stronger and plays hard. matfiled moonlights.
