Mozart's discussions about the test yesterday

The following posting was made by Mozart last week about the quarterfinal yesterday :-
"....I myself put it a no more than 50/50 with the selected team. Wales have played the tougher matches in the WC, and had a very good chance to beat Oz. They have better centres, at least parity in the half backs and a better back row. I make the comment on the back row because Vermeulen to me is still not firing and Warburton is the best fetcher in the contest.
An edge we would have had at front row is negated by selecting Malherbe.
Crucially Biggar has been a better kicker than Pollard so far, although last week under pressure he wasn't perfect.
So what gives us the divine right of victory....our locks? Etzebeth and Lomp are good but the Bargies had no problem with them. Wales have experienced locks who have faced the best in the game. They wont be intimidated.
This is a big pressure game and weaknesses rather than strengths could determine the outcome. The Bok weaknesses are there....at centre and at tighthead, on the bench with Lambie and Stephanie  and in the breakdown. Much will hinge on whether Wales can exploit these opportunities.
For the Boks Pollard has to make his kicks and we have to apply enough general pressure to get penalties which can set up our maul. Habana and JP will be key as they have been ever since Japan.
These teams are desperately close and WC knockouts are a leveler in any case. Fasten your seatbelts."
Lets evaluate his comments and see where he was right or wrong:-
*  The only thing he was close was the eventual outcome of the game being close.   The main problem was that Pollard ended up missing three kicks at goal representing 8 potential points.  If those kicks were converted the game would not have been close at all.
*   The Welsh centers are better than the SA Centers and in another posting he claimed that Roberts would destroy De Allende because of the latters poor defense.  The egg - o the terrible egg collector at his worst.  The best center by some distance was the best center in the game yesterday.
*    Malherbe sis better than jannie would have ever done in the scrum and he was better than Jannie would ever have been outside of scrumming.  More egg colection.
*    The Boks had some problems - but those identified by Mozart were all wrong:-

The one thing was clear - if Matfield played yesterday - we would have lost the game by at least 10 points.  His lack of physicality would have let to a Japanese test situation.
Eggs must be cheap in the USA - so you do not mind drowning in it, now do you?     
     

So Perv I called the game even with a Bok win in extra time....you called a 20 point Bok win. Take the deep dive idiot.
 

 Liar as per normal - twit.  Have a look at the points differnce fiven under the appropriate thread.   My forecast was a win by 12 points - but I did not barfain on Pollard missing three kicks at goal.
The rest of your comments were total BS as per normal with you.

Seems you just scatter forecasts all around the Board and pick the one closest to the actual score to emphasize. Either way you had no clue. I predicted Biggar would out kick Pollard. He did and that's why the game was close. It was always going to be close. Your fantasies that the new "physical " Boks were going to dominate Wales were a joke.


We were one stroke of inspiration  away from losing. That was fixed by Vermeulen and FduP....not by our physical locks or Fattie Malherbe. .

 Kak story - but for my forecast of a loss if Matfield and Du Plessis  were in the team.   Lucky for us Jannie was on the bench and not starting.   In the first scrum after he came on - Jannie belly-flopped and he was not long enough on the field of play to donate his standard penalties to the Welsh 
Matfield is useless in a physical game and more so in the last year - where we lost 6 of the 12 games (one against Wales) when eh was playing at lock,   Huge flop against the AB's in RC last year and also against the Aussies.
