Mozart has set rules pertaining to player performance evaluation and those are the following:-
1 No need to really evaluate performances of players over 30 years of age.
2. Evaluation of performances by his favourite players are out - he would decide the list of same
3. Under no circumstances allow for anything positive to be written about player performances of younger players.
4. If sound foundations cannot be found to deal with performances - create myths and publish outright falsehoods so as to credit certain players identified by him.
The above leads to extremely funny situations. Statements as to Matfield having grunt is punted to the enjoyment of other members. Other players in his view lack pace, but they still out-pace Fran Steyn - so what is Steyn if they are regarded as deficient in pace? One can just wonder about the extent of the myths and fairy tales he can come up with.
