Who can ever forget the classical movie Dr Zhivago in which Omar Sharif starred - one of the larger than life actors. May he rest in peace.

Dr Zhivago is a classic and one of my all-time favourites ....Sharif, a type cast actor acted his way into immortality.

Bit of a shame that ,at least he made the most of that one big role [ in the west anyway ] in Egypt he is /was a national treasure .

I see Omar actually wrote a book on Bridge. An interesting man....and Dr Zhivago was one of the great movie roles. A wonderful movie, but oddly enough a rather dull book. Sorry to to see him pass.
