Looking at the De Villiers - De Jongh center combination in Super 15 in 2012 - you have found the best description imaginable - it was like watching paint dry.   That could not be said of the Scottish and English tests  though.   In those two tests De Jongh went AWOL and I had to study minute after minute where he was on the field of play - he definitely was never where he was supposed tto be..

De Jongh as a small player - has one real deficiency - he does not have the skill set that would off-set his small physique.   He should never have been a Springbok - just not good enough for the job.   His real abilities are clearly illustrated by his stats and the fact that he is totally ineffective in attacking play.

Sharkbok
