Odd that he has apparently escaped the citing? Maybe it is still coming. He was being held back, which must be infuriating, but to knee a player in the ribs could have cost him playing again in the World Cup.

Bluebok
If the Malherbe biting story is anything to go by - this may be still under review. We would not know before tomorrow whether this is another storm in the proverbial teacup - so lets wa it and see what happens.

Did you watch the video Mike? This is not a picture that can be interpreted in different ways, it is a video clearly showing him retaliating for being held back, by kneeing the other player.

Pococks retaliation was certainly effective, once his knee touched the red shirt the players hold was very q uickly removed.

It could go either way. He is an Aussie captain and do they really want a big name out of the tournament? Money is everything afterall.

I am also surprised - this was an obvious illegal play and dangerous as well. Wonder what the citing commissioner thought of it - would be interesting to know.
12 Oct 2015, 14:45#10
Well seeing as how the pure as snow wannabes deliberately and cynically gave away penalty after penalty and not a word said about it then its obvious they have a free pass .Like hooper who has a ton of yellow cards already and gets time off for 'good behaviour " Were it the ABs you would never hear the end of it and were it one of your boys he would already be trussed up for the chopping block like nannas prize goose.

Absolutely disgusted! Tuilagi gets 5 weeks for sitting that Japanese player on his arse and Pocock not even cited.
12 Oct 2015, 15:10#12
Japanese player had his head on the wrong side in that tackle anyways.

This is a clear cut case! Hell even in UFC, full contact martial arts, you are not allowed to knee someone who is not on their feet, because it is so dangerous!
This is a blatant double standard! I am not saying this or that country gets off lighter than the other, but this incident should have come with a lengthy ban!!
I wonder what possible justification there is for the apparent overlooking of the incident?

Neither link works because the censor program deletes the work poc*ock. You have to do your own search to find the video.

Joke of a decision, how he's not punished I don't know.
Especially as the scots have two players also cited, not very fair at all.
You just know that if it were a Bizzy for instance, it'd be curtains on his WC.

Good one Cloudster ! It is out of character for Podork though ,perhaps cheikas encouraging of dirty play is getting through .Still dont know why no-one is getting up the wobs for their constant cynical play in their own red-zone ,anyone else and you would not hear the end of it ,they do it and its 'heroic'
