I watched the Under 20 WC match and am now convinced the team is the worst one we have sent to that competition for years.

They were playing some rugby and they had to for a 33-5 win - three converted tries resulting from rolled mauls contributed 21 of the 33 points.  Both of the others were also forward tries.

The players tried their utmost to butcher ball handling - the ball possession losses and handling errors were amazing to see.  I could not believe how poor Thomas du Toit in fact were in a few of the scrums - must admit in the majority of the scrums he was good.

However, I was horrified by the fact that the Bulls is producing a replica of Morne Steyn at flyhalf - his surname is De beer.  He was utterly useless and that in a fact.

Yeah I watched that on live stream which was a pain in itself.

The Baby Boks looked very rusty and as predicted the quota players were useless, being 1 & 4, Jason Jenkins who came on to replace the 4 was 100 times better and what that Baby Bok pack lacked......a guy with grunt.

v/Wyk who should be at 3 with Thomas du Toit at 1 was a huge improvement on Nche at 1. That power try of his was good.

RG Snyman at 5 was very good as was Liebenberg at 8.

Both 10's were crap, the centre's who by all accounts are stars in the making did very little.

Zas had one nice break on the wing, the other wing was a non entity. Gallant is a good player but did nothing on the night. EW Viljoen should be at 15 with Gallant on the wing.

Far too much possession was conceded and there was no clout on attack.....they have plenty of work to do and Theron needs to wake up when it comes to the selection of his best 15......stuff the fucking politics

There was one lock in the Juniors team whom I saw doing one thing only during the
whole game - that was knocking on a ball.   For the rest he was utterly useless.
His stats was as follows:-
Nonkontwana0/000/0/3000016/11/000/0
The above in fact was a standard matfield-based display.
The other one comparable to Morne Steyn had the following stats:-
De Beer0/021/6/0000022/00/000/0
I must not insult this youngster.  He made 2 tackles and missed none.   Morne would have missed at least 1 if not both.   By the way he reminded me of Morne even further if the performance of Morne in the Under 21 WC in Argentina many years ago is borne in mind.  It was chaotically poor.

Yeah Nonkontwana for a start at 1.94m is too short for lock, so should only be considered as a 7 which is where he has played a lot of his rugby.

But Theron and his poor selections, does not have another big lock in the squad. The 4th lock is another quota stringbean in Andrews.

What I did not get was why reserve hooker, Dweba did not come on......he was in last years Baby Bok squad and looked pretty good to me.

Theron needs to really catch a wake up......I have never rated him as a coach......the players he fails to select is outrageous......Marcel Coetzee, de Allende, Jean Kleyn, Lood, Tyler Fisher, Vorster and Odendaal spring to mind in recent years.
