Cape Town - Members of the 1995 Springbok World Cup winning team have laughed off claims that the All Blacks were poisoned ahead of the final at Ellis Park.

After a gruelling 90 minutes, the match ended 9-all, before the Springboks won 15-12 after extra-time.

The All Blacks subsequently complained that several of their players were ill in the build-up to the June 24, 1995 showpiece, and the claims recently re-surfaced in New Zealand media.  wHEN WIL L THE D EARS JUST ACCEPT THEY LOST TO THE BETTER SIDE!!

All Black coach Laurie Mains was adamant afterwards his players were poisoned by a waitress who became known as 'Suzie'. MAN THIS IS HILARIOUS STUFF FROM THE DOWN UNDER OAKS!

Wednesday was the 20th anniversary of the match and members of the Springbok team gathered at Ellis Park to remember one of the most famous days in South Africa’s sporting history.

When asking what they thought of the ‘Suzy’ claims, a few ex-Boks responded.

Wing James Small (THE GUY WHO KEPT JONO LOWMOOO ON A TIGHT REIN) told Netwerk24: “Suzie! Who’s that? That’s the biggest load of sh#*t I’ve ever heard in my life.” (WELL SAID JAMES THESE KIWIS SURE CAN WHINGE!)

Mark Andrews, who played at No 8 in the final, said: “I think in a way the All Blacks didn’t expect to lose. The world didn’t expect them to lose and I think they felt that they had to find a reason, or give the world a reason why they lost.” OAKS HOW PATHETIC IS THAT!!!!!

Team manager Morne du Plessis said the Springboks themselves were also plagued by food poisoning during the tournament.

“Our guys were hit by food poisoning before the opening game against the Wallabies in Cape Town, but we didn’t make a big deal out of it. There were several theories about what happened to the All Blacks before the final, but nothing was ever proven as fact.”

THE TELLING FACT WA THE WEE ABS PLAYED 90 GRUELING MINUTES AND BECAUSE THEY LOST THEY DREAMED UP SUZIE. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

 I don't know if the AB were poisoned or not, by Suzie or by anyone else, and I don't care but the truth is that they were food-intoxicated, they were ill, many players couldn't play and those who could, ended up throwing up, dazed, needing to rest, etc. Everybody saw it.
And the springbok team was unable to beat them in 80 minutes. They need an extra time against a completely ill team.
No doubt that the best team of the RWC 1995 were the All Blacks. And by far.
For everybody around the world, except in SA, that WC has been the most unfair in history.

P.S. There were very strong reasons for the SA powers to want to poison the AB.
That was a lot more than a WC final, that was the opportunity to ensemble a country, the only chance to gather together whites and blacks and build a new counry after the apartheid,..... this clearly surpass the game of rugby

The most unfair WC game in history was when Price Lawrence let the Aussies through to prevent the All Blacks from having to face the springboks again...

I wonder how much the people with the silver ferns paid for that to happen
