The way the forwards dealt with Samoa was seriously impressing.  The fact si that they play with a joint physical strength that really cut the Samoans out of the game.  However, there is one false note - the frequency with which some of them lose ball possession is still a problem.

The lack something in backline play - there is not enough zip in their backline.  However, their backline defense yesterday was outstanding - so that is a positive as well.

On Wednesday they will be playing the Aussies - and one can only hope for the best.  Up to this stage they did better than the Aussies if the game results are anything to go by:-

Aussies

Samoa   -   they beat them    34-22    Point difference = 12

Italy      -   they beat them    31-15                do      = 16

South Africa

Italy      -   they beat them     33-5    Point difference  =  28

Samoa   -   they beat them     40-8               do         =  32

Both Australia and SA have 10 points on the log in their pool and the game on Wednesday will determine the log outcome.   The winner automatically goes through to the semi-finals next week - but the loser may also go through - since of the teams second on the log of the three pools also earns a semi berth.

I couldn't find one either, still bit worrying that only one backline player scored a try. Maybe switch Du Plessis and Jackson as the former is lighter and maybe quicker?

The coverage of the u20 World Cup is horrible over here in the UK, not had any South Africa matches, probably only if we reach the semis/final.

Not much in it as du Plessis is down as 98kg......my guess is given the average 10's they have, these guys are not getting much quality ball
