But it is indeed rare when a player get into the TOW regularly. In the case of the number 12 postion the situation over the past 16 rounds have been as follows:-
Round 1 - Damien de Allende
Round 2 - Charlie Ngatai
Round 3 - Sonny-Bill Williams
Round 4 - Damien de Allende
Round 5 - Damien de Allende
Round 6 - Dan Carter
Round 7 - Sonny-Bill Williams
Round 8 - Ryan Crotty
Round 9 - Damien de Allende
Round 10 - George Moala
Round 11 - Damian de Allende
Round 12 - Michael van der Spuy
Round 13 - Dan Carter
Round 14 - Ma'a Nonu
Round 15 - Damian de Allende
Round 16 - Damian de Allende
The situation is as follows:-
Damien de Allende - 7 Rounds
Sonny-Bill Williams - 2 Rounds
Dan Carter - 2 Rounds
Charlie Ngatai - 1 Round
Ryan Crotty - 1 Round
George Moala - 1 Round
Michael van der Spuy - 1 Round
Ma'a Nonu - 1 Round
It must be borne in mind that each of the players concerned had to sit out two rounds when their teams were on bye's - so thus far they played at macimum 14 games.
The above in a way indicates why De Allende is in fact rated as the top center in Super 15 this year. The other center being nominated 6 times was Malekai Fekitoa at 13. As far as I can remember - and I may be wrong - iDe Allende was "bubbling under" in some Rounds as well.
This must be another bitter pill for De Allende's two main detractors on this site - Mozart and Letsal. They want their favourite Steyn at 12 - but he never got even mentioned once.
