Find it very strange that the impressive Vermeulen at 6 has been left out......stupid call.


Bothma is good, but Vermeulen was on fire against Oz and played in last years final

I have been unable to watch the games so far, and unfortunately I won't be able to watch tonight's game either, but have any of you seen the English team play? I would assume based on history, that they will have a formidable pack, and our forwards won't dominate as easily as they did against the Aussies. What are our chances realistically tonight?

Thanks Brycy, I could have checked the betting as well I guess! Ok, so Baby Boks are decent favourites, and will hopefully set up a final against the Baby Blacks! Nice! !

The England side looks weaker than previous years......pack is not that big.


Their 6 is from my boys school.........good player but not big enough for 6 really......6 being blindside everywhere but in SA!!

I am not sure about the real strength of the English team.   Their results has been as follows:-
Japan       =    Won    :     59-7Wales       =    Won    :     30-16France      =    Lost    :     18-30
They ended up second on the log of their pool and made the semi on point difference
The other results in the pool was as follows:-
France
Wales     =    Won      :    19-10Japan     =    Won      :    47-7
Wales 
Japan     =    Won      :    66-3
We will only know tonight how strong the pool teams are  - but I have a suspicion not very strong.   France beating England is significant I believe.

Good Luck ! Not looking forward to this at all. Need to buck our ideas up considerably as we haven't performed well as yet.We are not the force we have been, but still have some very good players indeed and could well be a handful if we click. We lost our 9 in the first match and that told. His replacement is not of the same calibre, but Homer flew in and performed well straight off the plane, so maybe he will get a crack. Packman on the Wing is a very decent player, as was his father before him. He was a stalwart at my Club and was highly underrated. We have two Saints playing, he is joined by Ludlum in the pack. A decent player too. 
Hope it's a good game.....and I am not too disappointed at the final whistle, regardless of what Saffex told me last week

If the Baby Boks don't thump this England side they should be shot. The pack should overwhelm the England pack.


We threw the final away against England last year when the Baby Boks were by some distance the stronger side......it was really one of those strange games of rugby when the better side lost...it happens. 


Packman on the wing is a slippery character, slight lad but does slip tackles.


The England U18 side is off on tour to SA soon, they are not a strong side either, have seen them play in the flesh, does not bode well for England next year in the JWC

One of those strange games....actually not so strange....another example of  a Dave centre missing his tackle and blowing the game. In this case it was  hesterhozen.

England's scrum is starting to dominate but I'm still annoyed by the second yellow that was shown to Jason Jenkins. The England flyhalf ducked into that and it was never a high tackle. Very harsh decision that came from the Japanese touch judge.

 Junior Boks need to play with a lot more intensity. it has been a tored performance.Something going on with scrums. Ref penalised Engla nd once for walking scrum around but not at other times?
