WC Quarterfinals

So the quarterfinals have been determined:-
Saturday
Wales  vs South AfricaFrance  vs  New Zealand

Sunday
Ireland vs  ArgentinaScotland vs Australia

What was clear today is that the idea that only defence count and that tries are not an option has been put to rest by the Ireland - France game.    To win comprehensive rugby is necessary.   However, that is not all where the egg is streaming from his face.  The other story is a few years ago when the old fool said that Bastereaud will destroy the SA centers and Dave said Bastereaud is useless, slow and fat.   Today once ago the praise-singing of Mozart has been confirmed as utter B S - poor old fool not to write about a subject he knows nothing about.
Now for something serious - what is going to happen in the quarters - bearing in mind the situation that anything can happen in the games.
Wales vs South Africa
The key here is in the first instance the team selection by Meyer - if too many passengers are selected Wales will win this game.
The second issue is - it was clear today that if the Springboks are drawn into the trap of playing the Welsh game and beat them at their own game - the Springboks have no chance of winning the game.
The Springboks should play a different game from Wales and force them to defend against the SA game.   That would turn the game into the favour of the Springboks.Kicking away possession is one thing that should not b done and limited attack around the fringes are no-good areas.
Provided the above issues are taken into account by Meyer - the Springboks should win this one.
France vs  New Zealand
I do not think I am going to try and predict an outcome in this case.   France has a habit of upsetting the  applecart or making life very difficult for the All Blacks.  My personal feeling is that the All Blacks should win this one - but I would not put money on the outcome.
Ireland vs  Argentina
Ireland had a very good game today and would be a hard one to beat in the quarterfinal.  However, Argentina was very very good in all the games they played in the tournament - even losing to New Zealand they put up a very good show.   However, I believe that the Argentinians have a good chance of beeating the Irish and I think they may just pull off a victory in this case.
Scotland vs Australia
Australia will win this one with ease.

 CleverMike, the RWC web page shows the AB v France game on Sunday night not Saturday. Are you sure you are right?

 You are right it is on Saturday evening, I made a mistake.

I am looking forward to the NewZealand vs France game. 
France have been useless for sometime now but they can somehow raise their game against New Zealand. 
Will New Zealand slip up again with their bogey team? I expect them to win- but they could slip up again on the French banana peel.

 Ahhhh France!!! Were doomed!!!!  lol. Nah we got this, France are unpredictable, but if NZ are on their game I would say nz by 15.

 This france might win only if as revealed by former players and coaching staff they recieve some chemical enhancement ,would explain a lot wouldnt it ? ABs have beaten france in 4 out of 6 WC encounters and one of those losess was down to one wee stinky squeazer [ the ABS should still have had a plan b and won it anyway !] Since 2007 its 8-1 and that loss was 6 years ago .

I know - statistically the AB' s should beat them - but in the history of the WC it is different.   2007 and 2011 were just two examples.  Would not put any money on the outcome though.
