.....what does that say about our fans. NZs appreciate McCaw and Conrad Smith....we villify Matfield, Jannie, Jean and Alberts . What was it Kennedy said: " Ich bin ein Orclander"

 Mozart
Don't blame the commentators,   We do not vilify Matfield, Jannie and Alberts.  They do it all on their own because they do not produce the goods anymore.   The fans  themselves see the rot and decide the players are not good enough anymore.   Only the extreme reputation supporters fail to see what is happening and ignore the failures of the three players.
Fact is nobody has vilified Jean ever.  He has not played any rugby since November last year.   What was said last year was that his performances last year was not on par with the performances of 2013.  That is not vilifying  it is factual.

Is the ANC now responsible for the poor performances by Matfield, Jannie and Alberts on the rugby field ?

How about you ask one of the NZer's their opinion on Jannie and Alberts? With a prerequisite that they've actually watched them both.

Us Kiwis might occasionally get cheesed off with our coach or the odd player here and there, heck we even get slightly annoyed with each other from time to time .But even when our boys lose we still stand by them ,because we know that win lose or draw they have given their all But crikey you Saffas like to stick it to each other and your players and coaches eh wot ? But thats how you chaps roll I guess . One of the few points of dissention might be Ardie Savea but I think Hansens keeping him in the fold for the post RWC ABs pending Saveas debut in the 7s .As for Jannie ?? well he did bust one tackle in the S15s didnt he ?Dunno much about Alberts too busy cheering on our boys !

Fox, care to elaborate a bit? "Mozart, SA does not produce very intelligent people period. At times they are so plain and simple they remind me of hobbits. This is reflected in SAs dire shortage for skilled workers. Another job well done by the ANC!"

There is a slight difference between intelligence and educational qualification. I can agree with: ",At times they are so plain and simple they remind me of hobbits", although a bit insulting for the hobbits I presume, but: "SA does not produce very intelligent people period." is wrong on so many levels, I don't know how to start responding to that!

@warhammer,

i have a theory as to why saffas roll that way.

IMO the saffas love their rugby as much as us kiwis, we are die hard fans of the greatest game in the world, but south africa only has a fraction of the success that NZ has, especially in the pro era.

SA rugby achievements in pro era.
RWC - 2007 - 1 won in 4 tournaments
TriNats - 1998, 2004, 2007 - 3 TriNats won in 16 years
IRC/4nats - 0 series won in 3 years
Super Rugby - bulls 2007, 2009, 2010 - SA 3 super rugby titles in 20 years
7s world series - 08/09 - 1 series won in 16 years
7s RWC - 0 won in 6 tournaments
7s commonwealth games - gold 2014, bronze 2002 and 2010 - 3 medals in 5 tournaments

NZrugby achievements in pro era.
RWC - 2011 - 1 won in 4 tournaments
TriNats - 1996, 1997, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, - 10 TriNats won in 16 years
IRC/4nats - 2012, 2013, 2014 -  3 RC/4nats won in 3 years
100% winning season - 2013 - 14 tests won
Super Rugby -
blues - 1996, 1997, 2003
crusaders - 1998, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2008
chiefs - 2012, 2013
hurricanes/higlanders - 2015
13 super rugby titles in 20 years
7s world series - 99/00, 00/01, 01/02, 02/03, 03/04, 04/05, 06/07, 07/08, 10/11, 11/12, 12/13, 13/14 - 12 series won in 16 years
7s RWC - 2001, 2013 - 2 tournaments won in 6 tournaments
7s commonwealth games - gold 1998, 2002, 2006, 2010, silver 2014 - 5 medals in 5 tournaments

to say nothing of the womans rugby dominance and the IRB rankings, where the All Blacks have monoplised the No1 position for over 90% of the time since its inception, making the no1 IRB rankings a feat harder to achieve than the overrated RWC.

and now warhammer, imagine that NZ achieved what south africa have in that time span.
IMO, us kiwi fans wouldnt be so united, having to swallow that much mediocrity on a game we love so much.

There is one play by play guy - I think its Nkumane - that I wish I had a mute button for. Especially when he tries to get intense. Talk about amateur hour. Let the colour commentary be an ex player, but your play by play has to be someone at least skilled in the art.

Wardad, Fox is a Cheetah and Bok supporter. He is really a good bloke but sometimes tends to get too excited and worked up and then makes sweeping statements that can be interpreted worse than actually intended. He can be quite a wordsmith with his insults and it's a real fun read most of the time, even if you are on the receiving end. One poster once said he sounds like he swallowed a dictionary. I think he can take net arguments a bit too seriously occasionally,  but he does know quite a bit about the game. He does have some telling vices and blind spots like most of us though, but that's just the kind of diversity that makes things interesting on this site.As for his nationality? I'm not too sure. From what I picked up over the years, he definitely grew up in SA or spend quite a bit of time here. He might have some German and/or Jewish ties as well, but I don't really know. He might even be from some other ethnic background.  He is quite clever with alternative taste in music and the arts. He must be around 30 years old and lives somewhere in Europe. He is not a South African National because I think he was either deported or asked to leave the country at some stage...might even have been that his vesa expired and that he needed a visa in the first place because he lost his citizenship due to his citizen ship  to another country...something like that. He playd rugby till his mid 20's...flanker and I got the impression it was openside, but again I'I'm not sure.As Alucard he lost it a bit at one stage and made some comments about the quake. He wasn't serious in my opinion, but some took offence, rightly so, but it was blown out of proportion. He has absolutely no love for the current SA regime, but this has nothing to do with racism. In all the years I've known him, I haven't detected one little hint of bigotry in him, but he does hate what he deems stupid.Amazing what you pick up from people on the net in the span of a few years.Wow, what a mouthful! I'll give yowll time to digest all that before doing Rooi's exposé next.

Draad - thanks for the info.  However, I think you are wrong about Desert Fox being a Cheetah supporter - he is definitely a die-hard Bull supporter.   All the players he admired and regarded as top class are in fact Bulls or ex-Bulls players and he admired Meyer as coach.
Listen - I have no problems with having diverse opinions about players - we all have - but to constantly run back and criticize some players (some for no reason at all but  personal dislike - like De Allende) makes me very unhappy with some of his posts.

I think that Mozart and Fox have the same outlook.  They have favourite players and criticize players endlessly when they are a threat to their favourites.   The case of De Allende is a classical example - both of them favour Fransie Steyn as the Springbok no 12 center - hence their dislike of De Allende.
You can make a long list of similar cases in respect of players they favour.   Mozart has an additional problem.   He was over the moon when Bakkies Botha came back and was initially not an Etzebeth supporter.   This illustrate the fact that he favours the over 30 year of age players and everything younger just deserve lukewarm support and is easily discarded if one of the old toppies comes on the scene.

Mike, Moz started to support Eben for the boks during his first season of SXV. He did not pick him while still playing for the Baby Boks. As for DdA, I have my concerns for certain aspects of his game, but there is no way I would start any other 12 when he is available.  We can try him at 13 later, but he must find his test feet first...in a familiar position where he has been playing the whole sesson. Not even Meyer can be that stupid.

Mozart clearly preferred Bakkies to Etzebeth and wrote an unbelievable praise song on Bakkies performance in the Scottish test in 2013 when Bakkies was the starting lock within an hour after the completion of the game.  When it was clear that statistically Botha was poor - he ran for cover.

Posts: 12236Etzebeth the key to beating the ABs
August 23, 2013, 05:56:59

So I'm not suggesting one player's performance can beat a talented team. But one players's impact on his fellow players can have that effect. When Habana was on the field in 2005 the Boks knew they had the fastest man in rugby in their ranks.....getting the ball to Habana in space galvanized the team. Likewise in  2009 forcing the lineout was a clear tactic because of Matfield's superiority.

-

The Boks have tended to beat the ABs when one unusual strength offset AB sophistiction....whether it be Matfield, Habana or Joost back in 98. Etzebeth is that kind of talent. He is immensely strong and an agile athlete as well. Etzebeth 2013 is a much more complete player than the 2012 model.

-

His presence convinces his team mates they can dominate physically. WP surged in 2012 when Etzebeth became available. Likewise the Stormers record this S15  was way better after Eben returned from injury.

Fast forward to the RC. The Boks are going to be very physical this year. The back row is comprised of very big, powerful men....and the reason to believe, as they say in marketing, is the presence of the strongest guy in the game. After Oz was thrashed last week AB hubris is at a peak. But the Boks have their own weapons, and building confidence after 7 straight wins.

-

This year it's all about the RC, the RWC is still a ways away...it's going to be epic.

That quote you made above was in August 2013 and I think it followed in item in which I said that your support of Etzebeth was lukewarm in 2012.  The following from that posting confirms it:-
"Etzebeth 2013 is a much more complete player than the 2012 model."
However, come October 2013 and Meyer announced the inclusion of Bakkies Botha in the EOYT squad and your support of Etzebeth went out of the window.   Now suddenly Bakkies was all that counted in that tram.   When Bakkies played in the test against the Scots your unbelievable posting on his performance was on the site within an hour after the match ended.   Why did you not quote that one as well followed by the factual position outlined as a result.
Eat crow is always your privilege - so have another bite.

It's a fact that people abroad laugh at South Africa. It's a fact that people don't take their education system seriously. It's a fact that they are becoming less intelligent.
