Nobody is trying to force anything down your throat - what we are doing is to sound alarm bells about the present situation and especially what some players are producing. What is obvious is that you are so set in your thinking you ignore those signals and start looking at performance of players in reality and not on the basis of deception for which Skink Hitler is known for.
Just one question - if Matfield's performance is acceptable how come ex-locks do not rate him as a lock anymore?
You can sound alarm bells as much as you like, ou balsak it is of no importance whatsoever. If we bomb out before the play-offs, what difference is it going to make to my life, or yours for that matter. If we win it, then I can ask the same question. I do not believe that any of us are going to shoot ourselves. Not me in any case.
The beauty is that you will have something to bitch about for the next four years, whatever the outcome is because you thrive on bitching and being negative. If have told you, a few years ago, it has to be terrible to live around such a negative miserable old sod like you.
Oh and BTW, I am willing to put money on the fact that you would not be prepared to give us any links of reputable ex-locks who do not rate Matfield as a lock anymore. OK ex-locks bar Mark Andrews who is probably still hurting about being pushed aside, by both the Boks and Natal, in favour of Matfield when he was nine years younger than what Matfield is at the moment.
I can give you a link to the interview where he confirmed this. Can you do the same in respect of all the other ex-locks? Read this:
http://www.sport24.co.za/Rugby/Springboks/Mark-Andrews-chats-to-Sport24-20141009 Sport24 asked: Tell us the real reason why you left SA to play for Newcastle Falcons in 2003.Mark Andrews: Both the Sharks and Springboks told me that I had no more value to offer as a player. I was forced to further my career overseas and did not leave South African rugby out of my own free will. At that stage, Kevin Putt and Brian van Zyl believed that I had nothing left to offer the Sharks, and as far as the Springboks were concerned, Rudolf Straeuli felt the same way. It can be a ruthless environment. At the time, I was 29 years of age and told my days of adding value were over. But I came to accept it, as such is life and the nature of professional team sport. The reality is that players’ careers are often dependent upon the management and coaches in power at the time.
