Okay let’s take them case by case. Washington was a slave owner, totally normal in 1776. You can’t judge him without judging the whole culture. Voltaire was a slave owner.

So Washington gets a by on slavery because reasons.

Churchill made a very poor military decision against advice about Gallipoli. Many men died….it affected his reputation until he became the man that led the cause against Germany

And de Valera made made a poor decision against advice that didn't result in any deaths but does affect his reputation to do this day but like Gallipoli was for Churchill it was just one part of his entire public career.

Oh of course Donald Trump …he said there were some fine people in the crowd….there were….there were also people with Swastikas. Just another false connection.

No false connection. There was no good people in that crowd. He just said that to imply an equivalence between the far right racists and the counter protesters. And here you are doing it now. Utterly shameful.

And Netanyahu…..of course you would accuse him while ignoring all the Iranians killed and tortured by that regime. And the word is an indicted war criminal…not an indicated war criminal idiot. And given you don’t know the word you probably don’t no the implication…..it’s an accusation which starts the process of proof, not proof.

Did I make a post extolling the virtues of an Iranian leader? You hide behind it's just an accusation but to be honest if he or Israel as a state was ever convicted of war crimes you'd probably refuse to recognize the ruling. Bury your head in the sand all you want... Israel has almost certainly committed war crimes on a vast scale possibly up to attempted genocide. The USA has directly enabled that and the USA' policy towards Israel and the middle east has ensured for decades there was no realistic prospect of peace in the region. And you talk about morals. And I love this... it's just an accusation... what about innocent until proven guilty. Yeah sure that's why the US bombed Iran on the grounds they 'could' build a nuclear bomb but had no evidence to suggest they actually were.

Your sense of moral equivalence is puerile.

You're in no position to talk... absolutely none.

Indeed...and it's getting worse...and I'm not talking about Stav... it's everyone.

You're not in an position to be questioning peoples morals either.

"Dradd are you claiming Biden planned all of the details for the withdrawal from Afghanistan?"

No, I'm saying he and his executives were in charge of the implementation and did a horrible job.

Draad, you do realise your master, Trump, was the one who agreed to leave the Taliban by a certain date? The Afghans clearly have some inside information, given how quickly things fell apart when Biden's America left. It was still poor planning nonetheless.

Did you realise that Trump now wants the very same base back again?

Incredible. You still can’t see the difference. Churchill thought Gallipoli would help win the war, he made a mistake. De Valera knew about the Nazi atrocities and then to cover his mistakes, went on pandering to the Germans when he knew they had just committed the worst massacre in the history of humanity.

And you are so into your Mick cause, you call him a hero. Actually unbelievable.

Defending Trump by attacking Ireland ... embarrassing & the height of puerility .

Lets add in the Wounded Knee massacre , Britain & slavery etc.

You lot are avid supporters of a batshit authoritarian regime.

There are excursions & then there are excursions & almighty Trump has taken all of us on the greatest, the biggest, the longest excursion the world has ever known ... undeniably worthy of a golden prize or two.

“Hail Trump, hail our people, hail victory!”

That’s how Richard B. Spencer saluted more than 200 attendees on Saturday, gathered at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C., for the annual conference of the National Policy Institute, which describes itself as “an independent organization dedicated to the heritage, identity, and future of people of European descent in the United States, and around the world.”

Spencer has popularized the term “alt-right” to describe the movement he leads. Spencer has said his dream is “a new society, an ethno-state that would be a gathering point for all Europeans,” and has called for “peaceful ethnic cleansing.”

For most of the day, a parade of speakers discussed their ideology in relatively anodyne terms, putting a presentable face on their agenda. But after dinner, when most journalists had already departed, Spencer rose and delivered a speech to his followers dripping with anti-Semitism, and leaving no doubt as to what he actually seeks. He referred to the mainstream media as “Lügenpresse,” a term he said he was borrowing from “the original German”; the Nazis used the word to attack their critics in the press.

“America was until this past generation a white country designed for ourselves and our posterity,” Spencer said. “It is our creation, it is our inheritance, and it belongs to us.”

The audience offered cheers, applause, and enthusiastic Nazi salutes.

By all mean's produce the photo's or video footage of good people in that crowd, in between all the Nazi, Confederate and white supremacist flag. Where they the ones holding tiki touches shouting the Jew's will not replace it?

But that brings me to another point.

The supposed reason the far right organised that protest was to protest against the proposed removal of a Robert E Lee statue.

You got to love Moz's defence of Washington for owning slaves, saying that was just the times Washington lived so hence he gets a pass.

Yet the modern united states has thousands of statues and symbols celebrating the Confederacy the side that fought to maintain slavery and committed treason.

This map reveals 1,747 monuments and other Confederate symbols of America's racist past - Fast Company

Imagine living in or owning property in say oh a state like Florida which has many such statues and symbols celebrating people who betrayed their country and fought to preserve slavery and than imagine such a person lecturing another person about morals.

Absolutely shameful stuff.

How many lives did de Valera's condolences cost? How many lives did Churchills actions cost? How many slaves did Dev own again? How many girls schools did Dev triple trap with Tomahawk missiles. How many women did Dev rape in a department store. How many people did his aid cuts kill? Did Dev's condolences cause any sort of global economic crisis? Did Dev actually cosy up to Hitler during the war... like a certain President has done with the leader of Russia?

Look your boy Trump went and goofed up royally. Not matter how much you try to divert away from that fact or try to shift the blame onto Europe we ain't falling for it.
