Unfortunately live and let live didn’t work out for Epstein.

Oh, I'm not in the era of the Crusaders, radical Islam is

.. that's not compatible with our way of life...they can't leave us be, they must conquer us one way or another...there will forever be conflict....I have met some wonderfully kind and educated Moslem people, but deep down their doctrine will always lead to conflict.

Yes yes, you are...but it's not mostly not Christian ideology motivating your fear of Muslims but it's your political ideology...the right wing always needs an enemy to be afraid of...use to be communists now it's Islam.

It's funny though I thought Christianity teach loved and tolerance for others...and despite being an atheist I reckon I'm a better Christian than most Christians.

My word you are brilliant….still not condemning your own terrorist organization though….the one that blows up horses in parks and old men in boats.

You do know that South Africans have lived with Muslims for centuries without any religious conflict? Hmmm, probably not….often wrong, never uncertain.

My own terrorist organization?

I didn't know I owned one...that's new to me. Do I get to claim them as an expense on my tax

returns?

I love that you think this is some sort of gotcha

I've condemned the IRA (of the troubles, not the civil war IRA, they are two distinct versions) on other posts in the past, I've never supported them or expressed support, I'll freely admit they were murdering terrorists.

I just don't bother responding to when you post this crap as an obvious deflection away from whatever the thread is about (usually Trump making a tit out of himself on the world state)

It's like your living back in the era of the Crusades.

Explain how that has anything to do with the thread. Would that be an ‘obvious deflection’

The thread was already derailed at that point.

Ideology se gat... it's my observations ..Oct 7, 911,... multiple suicide bombers...a very long list... I'm not the one yelling Death to Islam or whatever nonsense... It's really this simple: look at the rights of Moslems in Christian countries and then look at the rights of Christians in Moslem countries... that's what happens when they get to be the majority and I don't want to live like that.

Mozart, you're appearing anti-European and particularly anti-Irish.

Now I don't think you're naturally anti-Irish (and when it comes to rugby, who isn't) but you're basically trying to diminish Stav's point of view by attacking everything Irish.

Stav makes a lot of very valid points. Most posters will agree on that, even the ones that hate him for making those points. Disagree with him as much as you like but neither of you are fools and you both know it.

You're stooping a bit here my friend. You're better than that.

I know Stav as a fellow liberal (in the sane sense) with a good sense of humour that doesn't quite hide his very firm convictions. He's also good on rugby. The only thing that puzzles me about Stav is why the South African connection. No matter, it's his business, not mine. I think Stav is one of the best additions to this board I can remember.

I like people with strong convictions. I think of you as one of those.as well. Keep it above the belt.

Actually I really like most Irish people I have met. The Irish club in Athens made me an honorary member because I knew and could modestly render most of their songs. I was also friendly with Tony O’Reilly, we used to discuss South Africa and rugby at association meetings we both attended. I have many friends with Irish roots.

So no real Irish animus. But Anger is very critical of the USA and sometimes dismissive of South Africans. He invites a response. As for the sense of humor, sadly I have never seen it. He seems to be mostly talking down to other posters….a bit of a school marm.

But I actually don’t have a problem with differing opinions and with your strong endorsement I’ll reserve judgement.

Stavie = a liberal

Liberals = individual freedom

The type of individual freedom that allows for the criticising of ANY religion to any degree that the user sees fit.

Blasphemy laws and the very idea of punishing people for blasphemy is a foreign concept in the West. Have a look at some of Shark's comments on Christianity over the years. That's what individual freedom is about.

Now, I double dare you, Stav - I'll get an unlocked AI I have to create a depiction of Allah, then I'll have it printed onto a T-shirt for you, post you the T-shirt and ask you to go and stand outside a mosque wearing said t-shirt. Any mosque, anywhere on mud island.

If you survive, I'd then ask you to come back here and tell Draad his problem with Islam is a political one, as though it's some kind of gotcha.

Of course it's a political one. Geez, are you just now figuring that out? Why do you think Draad, or anybody else, doesn't have a problem with Jews, Hindus, Taoist, Sikhism, etc?

I'll give you a hint, it's because the people practicing those religions don't promote and practice things which are incompatible with secular Western society.

Apparently the right always need someone to fear? At least they have the balls to stand up to ideologies that are counter to the principals that you are supposed to set out from if you truly are a secular liberal who appreciates the right to individual freedom.

Send me an address and I'll post the T-shirt ;)
