Amazing humility, honesty, transparency and faith in GOD.
I take my hat off to you Ackermann and Kriel for an excellent last 4years and ALWAYS honouring GOD even in defeat and testifying for him without shame -->I watched the Lions kneel, pray and honour GOD after defeat to the Canes last year. Same honourable actions after the loss this year.
He led a group of men to be honourable on and off the field. They were tough, they were bloody tough. They played hard uncompromising but intelligent rugby.
As Sir Graham Henry said ,"Better men make better All Blacks"
Most of the men from the Lions led by Ackermann now have their own families and I won't be surprised at all if those traits are handed down to the next generation in these men.
And I give ALL the Glory to GOD for Ackermann. Wish you the very best in UK/Europe in the journey that GOD takes you.

Well they have obviously done something to p!ss of their god because he isn't doing anything to help them.
The mighty Crusaders went out and wo n without a sky pilot helping. Maybe they should spend less time on their knees and more time out on the field playing
Even if there is a thing in the sky why the f*ck is he p!ssing about worrying who he should let win a game of rugby when there are much bigger issues in the world like children dying, pedophiles, drug dealers, starvation etc oh thats right those things only happen to people that follow the wrong fairy in the sky please how can any of you believe any of it.

Very happy with the result, if that red card hadn't been given I think it might have been a different result we were just holding on at the end.
And besides Thor is going to be bloody angry at all these people running around thanking the wrond deity for everything he is doing. Would not want to be Hakwa when he finds out he has been following the wrong sky fairy

Such humility is to be admired from a Crusader fan.

CF, those "bigger issues in the world like children dying, pedophiles, drug dealers, starvation etc" happened because people reject GOD.

Me, I chose to believe an Honourable man such as Ackerman when he speaks about his faith in GOD. Very humble -->a trait that perhaps you need CF.

CF, Athiests used to be the majority in Stalin/Lenin Communist Russia and look at what happened to millions of people killed during their era.
CF, "the safest countries in the world with the highest living standards and less crime are all ones that Athiests are in the majority" ------>please bring data.
CF the Laws governing the country that you live in are based on JudeoChristian principles which are believed to come from GOD. Sadly you do not exist in a vacuum nor are you an island.
CF, this blog is a tribute to Ackermann and not to you. That you hijacked it proves that you have ZERO humility. Let it go CF and let Ackermann have his day atheist or not.

Exactly right.

The fact that Bible-Bashers like Baboon-ou and hakwa feel the need to pump their religious drivel on this rugby website says a lot about their narrow-minded fundamentalist views and their insatiable need to try and convert people to their ignorant and small-minded way of thinking. It's pretty much the exact same jihad mentality of the Islamic countries except they call it evangelism. Same goal . . . to get other stupid people to think the same way they do.

I posted this some time ago . . . it links to a study from a well-respected and reliable source that proves conclusively that there is a direct correlation between a person's intelligence and their religious beliefs . . . basically, the more stupid a person is the more likely they are to believe in a god.

The laws governing my country have nothing to do with god but were put in place by people and are governed by people. God has nothing to do with it, never has and never will. If he had slavery would be legal and murder would also be legal if I catch you working on Sunday or I can stone to death my unruly child but thankfully humans are not as insane as your mythical being. We have a human moral code which is much higher than the psycopathic murdering thug you believe in

We are told that we have free will ... that we decide for ourselves ... the whats, wheres, whos and whens of everyday life belong to us ... and us alone ... yet if one goes back in time to Egypt ... during the days of Moses and the Israeli slaves ... and of course the Pharoah, you'll find a different story unfolding.

Something that contradicts this theory.

Moses was sent to threaten Pharoah ... to demand the release of the Israeli people ... or else calamity (10 plagues) would befall his nation.

Unfortunately Pharoah had no say in the matter as God had every intention of bringing the plagues down on them anyway ... and to ensure this He hardened Pharoah's heart and forced him to refuse every time.

After every threat, Pharoahs heart was hardened and the promised plague fell upon the Egyptian people. ... all the way through to the 10th and final plague ... death of the first born.

Fast forward a thousand years ... to the time of Jonah.

He was approached by God and instructed to deliver a message to a sinful city. He refused and took it upon himself to run away but as we all know he ended up being thrown overboard and swallowed by a fish ... and after 3 days he was spat out.

Did he have a choice? No. What happened to his free will?

Blind faith is utter madness. Believing the tall tales of a kind and loving God without question is about as foolish as it comes.

We are told not to murder ... yet he does. We are told not to take that which doesn't belong to us ... yet he does. We are told not to commit fornication ... yet he does. We are told that he hates liars ... yet he lies.

He has given us a set of laws to abide by ... yet it appears that these very same laws do not apply to him.

Now I ask you ... with tears in my navy blue eyes ... is that the kind of example you'd expect from your God?

I watched his interview last night, exactly what did he say that made him a great and brilliant coach? He is a great coach and has proved that where it matters ands thats on the field, there was nothing new in that interview that elevated him to god like status except to the religeous followers who liked the fact he praised an imaginary being for losing.

How can someone be an atheist, and acknowledge the existence of Jesus/God? Additionally, how would you know what people think around 2 thousand years ago? The "Atheists" of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd century were probably pagans, the main religion before being colonized by Christianity

CF,"there was nothing new in that interview that elevated him to god like status". You must be on drugs CF.
CF "he praised an imaginary being for losing" you are really losing the plot CF.

CF I am sorry to break it to you (well someone has to), but your opinion does not matter at all (I am sure your parrot will jump up and say it matters to him . You also think you are important BUT in reality you are not -->you are not going to burst into tears are you

But dont ever forget that he loves you (TRUE John 3:16 FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON TO DIE FOR YOUR SINS THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVED ON HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE)
God gave his only son!  I thought we are all Gods Children, or at least those who are "reborn" again hypocrites.
"The Bible is clear that all people are God’s creation (Colossians 1:16), and that God loves the entire world (John 3:16), but only those who are born again are children of God (John 1:12; 11:52; Romans 8:16; 1 John 3:1-10)
The Bible has been written by so many people that everything it says, can be contradicted in other areas of the Bible. Either God has multiple personalities/ schizophrenia, a compulsive liar or the bible is written by more than one person.  --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On a lighter note, I have got to the conclusion that Jesus has been in Hell for the last 2 thousand years. The original plan that God and Jesus agreed was - He would "die" on earth, and then return to a 5-star hotel in heaven.
However, when Jesus got to heaven - God said that there was a change of plan. Heaven, after all, is a better place to live than on Earth. In this light, it could not be deemed enough of a sacrifice. So instead of dying, Jesus was sent to hell to pay for the sinners.  (especially the hypocrites). ----------------------------Never try pass of beliefs as facts. Religion is a belief, not a fact, regardless of what ever your Church tells you. Facts can be proven objectively.
With so many religions- and insecurity that it is codswallop- this is not justification to force this stuff down peoples throats.
If a suicide bomber will kill himself and others due to beliefs, this is obviously not the will of any God (Muslim or Christian)- but a complete misinterpretation by fanatics. It is illogical to assume a God would actually want to do this type of stuff.

The biggest thing working against religeon is knowledge, the smarter people get the less likely they are to believe books like the bible.
Face it the book was written by man long after the supposed facts and has so many contradictions, down right impossible claims and not one other piece of evidence to support it that no sane person can take it seriously.Adding to the problem is the 40 or so different Christian faiths and then then the thousands of different gods that people believe in.Surely if there was a god he would a) at least provide some proof of his existance instead of none at all b) not be competing with 1,000's of other gods for attention and c) get his story straight when dictating it to illiterate desert dwellers or better still write it himself so there are no mistakes.
If you can show me a persons missing leg reappear or grow back I might think you are onto something but in over 2,000 years its never happened so unlikely he will start now. Face it religeon is a scam designed to seperate simpletons from their money now days, in the past it was used to hold power over the mass's.
The only thing that will ever make me believe in a god is if he actually presents himself to me. After 50 years I am still waiting so I guess I am somewhere at the bottom of his list.

Sorry Wardad just cant help myself, religeous zealots just set me off
I have no fears if I do find myself standing in front of a god, will I be standing in front of something remotly like you describe, not a chance but more likely I will slip into oblivion and I am OK with that.
Have you ever thought through the idea of eternal life or what life would be like in heaven? Can I do anything I like (its heaven after all and its supposed to be perfect)
Can I get drunk, can I fornicate with multiple ladies, if i get married in heaven can I get divorced. If I am married when I go do I have to spend eternity with my wife? Your idea of heaven is probably nothing like my idea of heaven, so if it is like the place christians describe its nowhere even close to heaven to me or do we all go to a different heaven and if thats the case my children will not be there as they will be in their own heaven so again my heaven would not be my idea of heaven either.
The whole concept is so f%^ked up and full of glaring holes it is nothing but a fantasy thought up by people that can't stand the idea that they will simply not exist once they die.
My current girlfriend is a buddhist, if I convert and go to heaven, will she be there with me. Again would not be heaven for me if she was not allowed in.

On that graph if you eliminate the <10% atheist group, the higher the atheist percentage....the lower IQ. And given the very low levels of the <10% group there are clearly other factors involved. .. So I would say the graph proves higher atheism is consistent with lower IQs. Hell the four highest IQ readings come from groups with < 30% atheists. ...  You do know Einstein is dead dont you, he isn't doing any thinking any more.
Unfortunatly I will never see a world free of religion (or pigeons apparantly) but at the rate atheism is growing my children might get to see a day when most countries are not dictated to by stone age beliefs.
America will be the last western country to fall but even there atheism is gaining momentum at a staggering rate.
Face it religion is in its final death throes and the days the churchs dictated to the mass's are over. Intelligence is finally winning over stupidity and ignorance.
