Moolaa's argument appears to be based on how SAFFA's are perceived with regards to race, and I can understand where he's coming from, however, on this one he is milking the wrong Bull for the simple reason that it's a workplace issue...incidentally SuperSport concur with my view. Thing that pisses me off was how some quickly jumped on Willemse for being a quota, firstly he wasn't and secondly whether he was or wasn't  has nothing to do with the issue.....besides he had long since retired. And yes you're right, South African politics is a minefield for outsiders to step into....and in some cases even for South Africans. Outsiders would be wise to give it a miss unless they have their facts spot on.

Extremely racephobic. The sad thing is that I think much of the population (outside of the extreme elements on either wing) wants to move past it and just wants to get along, but politicians and the media continue to fuel the fire. And then you have public figures like Ashwin Willemse doing their bit as well to make sure that race stays firmly fixed in the public sights .

Racism will never go away. Too many things have been done and said. 

Forgiveness is always a good thing ... but how does one get to it when there's so much bitterness?

The memory of past wrongs will linger for an eternity and generations to come will be reminded of it everyday. Right now we have reverse racism leaving just as many scars.

We must realize that racism comes from both sides. We are all guilty of it.

It's a battle we can't win. Like farting against thunder. 

I happened to tune in to the Parliament channel and listened to the debate.   The attack on the White racialist - apparently Mallett and Botha - was vicious and Whits apparently are not South Africans if one listens to the attacks on them.

I am also becoming convinced that the Willemse incident was staged with a view to the Parliamentary discussions this week.   The issue is clearly done to ensure that th e comments are slanted to support players other than Whites.

I am now convinced that in view of the fact that I am not regarded as a South African I will not support any SA team if selected on the basis of race ahead of merit.   .   .       

The problem for me is this...

The "original sin" is being used as a smoke screen to nationalise all land/resources and in so doing overcome the main obstacle that normally stands in the way of turning a democratic state into a communist one.

The ANC believe that they will do something differently and that this this time communism will work.

That's the danger that nobody is talking about.

What's even funnier is that the basis of the argument is that wealth will be redistributed so that the present economic heiarchy will collapse and bring rise to a more equitable one.

Exactly so.   it happened in Zimbabwe and is bound to happen in SA.  In Zimbabwe agriculture and agriculture based industries collapsed and the people are many times poorer now than they used to be.   They used to be the breadbasket of Africa - now they are a basket case with people depending on foreign handouts for food.   Mugabe and the governing hierarchy lived in splendour and circa 90% of the people was without work and live in abject poverty.

In Russia in 1914 agricultural production per head of the population was higher than in 1984.  Fact is even Gorbachev stated that in the 1930's two of his brothers died as a result of starvation..   as a result of that disaster farm workers were allocated half-hectare plots where they could farm and sell the produce.   70% of the food production  in the 1980's came from those small plots making up about 10% of agricultural land.   Problem is that the bureaucrats  were both incompetent and corrupt.  

With present experience in SA it is clear that the bureaucrats are as corrupt and even more so than they were in Russia and countries like Zimbabwe - so what you say about enrichment of a few  is 100% correct.
