Siren goes, game over!! Fantastic result for the Landers, they did it the hard way as the wild card team & played away games. No one can deny they deserve it. Tough luck for the Canes they just couldn't dictate the game & never really got their game going.

That has to be really tough on the Canes, they were the team that played outstandingly all year, best record, etc. Landers had a balanced team & just work man-like approach. Credit to the coach & players.

Landers defied the odds and did it all away from home with  an unfancied line-up .

Great Game. Thought the 'Landers were just a bit more desperate to win and it showed

when they scrambled in defence.

How did Savea make that try saving tackle and how did he drop the ball?

Good game, unfortunately there can only be one winner. Well done Highlanders.

Thought the man in the middle did a great job.

I should have put that R100 on the Landers for winning the trophy 3 months ago. Well done boys! Their 2nd final since 1999?

A disappointing finish, I really wanted the Canes to win this, but I'm not surprised by the result. The Highlanders had the tools to win it. Congrats to them.

My thoughts exactly DF. I wanted the Canes to win it. In the end a balanced, team with strong defence & composure won it. Sort of the wining formula for finals rugby & RWC rugby too.

Hi Cloudy & Naru San; as they say someone had to lose. I would have felt badly for the Highlanders if they lost it as they fought hard & took the tough path. Canes have got to win the final soon surely - but thinking about it Chiefs will win the next one

I was at a seminar this morning and have been watching tennis. As the oaks know I dont have too much time for kiwi netball rugbybut perhaps would have kept an eye on matters to assist my confused friend JW and Brycy too of course.Sasue must really just be thankful the blowhards burgled their way as far as they did in the comp!!
So anyhow congrats to the Highlanders. It is surprising (but for one consideration) that a side as pap as the blowhards actually could make a final. The one consideration being bent ref support. We all know how the blowhards were handed the match to them on a platter when playing the Mighty Stormers pack! It was men against boys!
More imprtantly Petra Kivitova was bungled out of Wimbledon!! Groth served a 147 MPH serve the second fastest serve in history but Roger still won in 4.

JW the blowhards  have probably peaked so lowered expectations are most likely in order. One cant be certain as who knows who they will buy - some saffa forwards for example - and how bent the refs will be in the future!!

Beeno: not sure how you ever expect to learn rugby if you don't watch the kiwis play. I should point out that rugby is not played with a net, tennis is the game that is played with a wee ball & a net. You have your games confused again
