 This is not about Japan or anything else.  lets get the issuer straight. Mallett made a statement that he was "approached" and turned down the offer flat.  Whether he was or was not is really of no consequence.

However, Low Life and his sidekicks (Ceradunce and others) went on an anti-Mallett campaign and the reason for that  is easy to find.  Mallett is on the panel that discuss rugby tests and other matches and also on Boots&All.  According to them Mallett"s  -
*   negative comments about the performances of Francois Steyn, Morne Steyn, Victor Matfield, Jannie du Plessis, Pienaar, etc;
*   positive comments on Damian de Allende, Pollard, De Jager, etc
are the utterances  of a fool,  because they rubbish their own prejudices and garbage they write on the site.  So the answer is obvious - go on a personal attack on Matfield - and the present situation is just another example of "how low can they go".

Listen, ou Pisgat. You do know, by now, that I live in the UK. I haven't been to SA in five years and as such have not watched Boots & Fecking All for five years either, so I do not know about the ramblings of your idol. So, your idea of the reasons behind my so-called "anti-Mallett" campaign is as accurate as your reports of Morne Steyn signing with PSG, you plank.
What I do know is that I do not rate him as a coach and I do believe that he could be somewhat of an opportunist at times. He also has too much baggage when it comes to coaching,  as fas as I am concerned.

Typical of you to turn a bloody nice gesture by some SA fans into something it certainly wasn't.
So.... applauding the opposition after they beat you is "the done thing" is it?

Look at what England supporters did when they were knocked out of this world cup, some supporters were burning their rugby shirts and flags.
Look at what the english football supporters do every week in and week out, they bludgeon each other, kill each other, maim each other, because of a stupid football game.  Hell, they even have their own zones that they defend.  
When do they shake the oppositions hands?  Maybe when that Leeds United fan attacked the Sheffield Wednesday goal keeper in 2012 during a pitch invasion to celebrate a goal?.
How about when that German flag was burnt in Leicester square, by english supporters, when England lost 4-1 to Germany in the 2010 world cup?
Maybe you are referring to 2013 when Newcastle United fans burnt bins, bottles were thrown from the stands, and they even assaulted a poor horse...... and why... because United lost 3-0 to Sunderland.
How about March this year during the quarter final of the FA cup between Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion when supporters invaded the pitch whilst the game was still in play.  By the end of that game, close to 1 000 supporters had invaded the pitch causing players from both teams to run for it. 
And you want to lecture on here about the spirit of the game and how supporters should react or behave......

 Football ? You are talking about Football ? Well I suggest that you discuss Turkish fans, German fans, Italian fans, the Spanish....ooh...just about anybody else you can think of in " Europe " if you want and add Argentina in to the mix too. Because we do not have to be kept in cages or stab people week on week. 

What about African Football fans ? Surprisingly we do get News here of situations regarding disasters at Stadia around the world....so do not come it with me. 

And as for it being the English to blame for it all....listen to the accents sometimes. I think you'll find the Celts might be slightly culpable for some of the disgusting behaviour. 
Oh and my brother has been to two World Cups, South Africa and Brazil, as well as many matches all over. Not once has he had any trouble or suffered an injury. 

Now shall we talk about fatalities at Rugby matches ? Kicking people to death in car parks and stabbing people in the stands ? Oh yes, glorious South Africa once more.

You think you are a smart ass, but in reality you are dof as hell,  Matfield's comments on players have been published in all major newspapers adn often enough quoted on this site.
When not quoted in other reports I have often enough referred to comment of him and Naas Botha at halftime and after matches.  So you do not need to watch the panel discussions or Boots&All to know what he said.  
Your absence from SA is a blessing - one less rugby idiot here is an improvement in the rugby environment.        

Of course it's the done thing becs. But you missed the human touch. South African fans who have always been generous in defeat, actually shared the spirit of that win for the ages. Generously not through clenched teeth.
And if the Boks come back from that, it will be a story to rival our 95 win.....that's still a possibility.

Here's the massive difference between me and you Becksy, I never once said we haven't had problems.  I merely acknowledged a decent, respectful and thoughtful gesture that the majority of South African fans did for the Japanese fans at the stadium, and at the tube.
You then take that and attempt to turn it into a thoughtless patronising South African escapade.
You attempt to berate people and come across as having the best behaved supporters ever, saying things like "It is the done thing for goodness sake !!, That is the way the game works" 
"You certainly didn't learn the spirit of the game from where we are"  Meaning........We are just so good and blessed at it and practice it all the time, that if you did learn it from us we would have noticed and identified it straight away.

 Oh miss high and mighty…. I am not talking about a two minute clap it was a sustained round of standing applause while they ran and bowed around the whole field. I go to a great number of games and am well versed in the etiquette, this was something quite different and special. Not for some sort of self glorification that you hint at. I am guess that your opinions may not be reflected by the majority of English supporters? , it is however this type of attitude that is remembered when watching England as a neutral.

 My two teams are the Boks and anyone playing England.
