Ceradunce
I considered two words to use - honest and honourable. I decided on honest because they are dishonest in their own assessment what they do to the Springbok. If they were honest and have put the interest of the team foremost and just opt out, they will do the honourable thing. But they wont and that is where they cross the line.

I am not surprised. We have, after all, seen how often someone as dishonest as you have had the nerve to knowingly call others dishonest.

I do not determine who is performing well or not. I just deduce from what actually happens on the field of play - recheck that after I have consulted the statistical data if all facts tie up you make s determination. It is not surprising that my assessment is on par with others like rugby writers and ex-players.
I do not look at games with prejudice and determined to create skyscrapers about some players and credit them for something he did not do - merely what they liked to have seen but never happened. I don't ignore poor play on the part of players.
You ask all members on this Board about Matfield and you would get an overwhelming response that Matfield sabotages our Tight 5 and that his contribution is poor.

You are very biased. Take for instance the Hooper drive back on Damian. You claimed that never happened. The video clearly stated otherwise. Then you denied in one set play that Damian was the wide option by moving out and Kriel coming inside of both him and Pollard. You denied Lambie was the open door for the winning try in Perth for the Aussies. You denied that Goosen cost us the Dunedin test by having a hand in two tries, you blamed Morne exclusively! You denied Lambie failed in any tackle on the EOYT against England, the video shows not a single effective tackle and most kicks and passes were poor. There is so much more. Plain bias.

The real thing that happened was that Hooper was off-side when he charged at De Allende he went a step back and then went forward again for at least two meters where two players had to assist each other to bring De Allende down. The end result you kept quiet about - the resultant penalty and 3 points donated.
Morne missed a penalty line kicks by some meters. The kick if out would have resulted in a Springbok line-out throw in and Habana would have come back to take the team back to full 15-man strength. Morne buggered up badly - the counter-attack that followed ended up in a try for the Wallabies. If for a change Morne was reliable - the try would never have been even a remote possibility. First and only complete bugger-up = Morne Steyn - nobody else. Bu the way here is Morne's stats for the game - hi tackle stats sets an all-time record for missed tackles:
Steyn0/0188/9/0000018/70/010/0
No wonder Morne has not played a test for SA since then.
Morne missed 5 kicks at goal - potential loss 14 points. He also launched kicks out of hand that even the commentators said was BS - and that on the air. That game was lost because of Morne.
M Steyn0/036/11/2901006/00/010/0
Morne was so poor in that game - even Meyer got rid of him.

Questionable stats, the video only showed 4 missed tackles, one being a miss on his inside against Folau after a kick chase to around halfway the others being scrambling cover defence. But either way, your hack job lie is was exposed long ago. And Morne was dropped because he took the frall for the try. Yes, he did miss that 60m touch finder, but the try was nothing to do with him. There were at least two missed tackles, one by Serf and the final nail in the coffin was Lambie shooting out the line to take out an Aussie off the ball, Kuridrani subsequently strolled through the open space and scored. That's the actual truth. If you want to see a touch finder that more directly led to a try, revisit Damians blooper against the Sharks. His kick left his defence very short on the right and the Sharks scored an easy try in the end. Nothing said about that one, but let it not be said that Michael is biased! As per the drive back? Damian was driven back more than a step and made only a little more ground than where he started getting driven back. And the point of that is that Damian cannot carry the ball up. Shocking that he cannot assert himself head-on against Hooper, a very little flank. So you lose again Michael ! You claim Damian runs it down the throat of the interior defence in every game with ease. Yet you cannot find one example of this. I ask you to show me one successful unders line and you went quiet. How about that gaff of a set play against NZ last time? Over ran his line and hovered in front of Reinach which threw out his timing obstructing him? Great stuff. Wonderful space creation. Michael, you have taken a beating today, my friendly advice is to take an asprin, go lie down and come back when you have integrity to speak honestly.

Disaster
This is unbelievable:-
"Yes, he did miss that 60m touch finder"
Are you not afraid of exposure of another lie. It was NOT an ordinary touchfinder - it was a penalty resulting in a line kick - which founding touch would have resulted in a Springbok throw-in with Habana coming back after a yellow card. This is twisted - it is unbelievable that you do even try to justify another Morne disaster. Just one question - if Morne did as simple a thing as finding touch, what would have been thereafter?

A t no point did I justify the miss. I said right after the game that he should not have pushed for distance given the heavy wind that day. What I have said all along however is that you cannot blame him for another players mistake. The miss happened, the team had to deal with it, and because one player missed a tackle Australia got into our 22 (Serf) and because of Lambie Kuridrani had an easy open lane to the try line. Those were their own mistakes that are on their own heads. To blame Morne for that is pathetic.

So Steyn is not to be blamed for another player's mistake - but Lambie si blamed for another players mistake. Logic is somehow amiss in this case - like it always is when Disaster discusses anything. To try and cover up one of the worst blunders a player ever made in recent years - by blaming another player - that is Disaster at his best.
What Disaster said about the missed kick was never what he claims to have said. Even in recent postings he praised the long kick of 60 meters upfield and earlier in this thread he tried to mislead people about the nature of the kick - so why now saying "I said right after the game that he should not have pushed for distance given the heavy wind that day." So the wind caused the Morne disaster - it was not particularly windy that day - so wind has to be invented as a reason for the debacle of Morne. Another lie exposed - are you not afraid of being a constant liar.
This really is pathetic - even Meyer realized the extent of the foul-up made by Morne - but Disaster is adamant - it was not a foul-up. The team had 14 players on the field when it happened - so that made the foul-up even worse.
What a clown we have here - but that is to be expected from him.

I have never praised the kick. I dare you to find a thread where I did! What I have said was that it was well up field and our defence had time to set and press up field. From there those two errors proved fatal. None more so than Lambie. That has always been my stance and it will never change!

Wet and windy conditions said nothing about whether the wind favoured the Springboks or not - neither the wind speed. it also said nothing about the goal kicks converted - very few flops on that score. If it was bad conditions from a windy perspective - that would not have happened - goal kicks would have been missed.
Morne kicked a 60 meter kick - so what was the effect of the wind on that? Did the wind drive the ball in-field - bloody unlikely. Morne is habitual in missing penalty line kicks and that one was no different from what happened regularly in his case.
So lets look at another shameless lie of Disaster:-
"You denied Lambie failed in any tackle on the EOYT against England, the video shows not a single effective tackle and most kicks and passes were poor."
The stats showed as follows:-
Lambie0/0164/4/20000110/10/000/0
I never denied that Lambie did not miss 1 tackle from 11 tackle attempts and your version of tackle quality and other components of the game is so unreliable and routinely such a concoction of misrepresentation and outright lies - it is unbelievable.
The joke in this case is that Steyn attempted 15 tackles in perth and missed 8 of those - 4 which he preferred not to see so he could avoid criticism of Morne - and there was nothing wrong with that. Lambie attempted 11 tackles missed 1 of those and "the video shows not a single effective tackle".
You know - even though I constantly have to try and correct your irresponsible misrepresentations and outright lies on this site - I am actually sorry for you. It must be easy to li ve in a state of constant delusion and make-believe, but it must be hell to be brought down to earth subsequently.

Actually Morne is not a habitually poor kicker and yes he was kicking into the wind in the second half. You would know this if you actually watched the game! He missed touch by pushing too far into the wind. That's a plain and simple fact, and I said it was a bad call going for such a long kick! But why so disapproving of poor kicks when you had no problems with Lambie missing a touch finder deep inside Englands half after they were reduced to 14 men? No wind. No problems apparently! That right there is inconsistent and biased. Man this is too easy!!!

Not to blame Morne for his pathetic foul-up is stupid and delusionary. That remains the key of the whole issue. So shift the blame - and voila we have the lack of logic Disaster specializes in.

No shifting of blame at all. You are shifting the responsibility of the try onto Morne. That's the issue! Just admit it, Lambie made a crucial error and conceded a try. It's that simple! Life is easy with some honesty
