Saffex I don't think they give a shit cause they knocked you over. Most forums and comments are opinion based. So people will attack the person rather than his opinion. Because if you can descredit the person his opnion would be ignored. 

They want you to get pissed off and throw a tantrum or insult them back so you can play their game. I bet you insulted them back with some nasty words?

Barlee was not involved in this one.......I am not even sure who they are - Hawk and Falke or something.......both or the same person, either way pretty insignificant on all levels. They seem to get off on some kind of power trip.

I have learned the hard way. My first sites was English sport and chat forums. Insults and comebacks id their way of communicating and South Africans take it personally.

SS board appears to be suicidal in its approach. Dave dont be too concerned you are in a long line of departures and only the few remain.There is a meaness of spirit by barlee and hawker that has virtually destroyed the board. Great pity. As for mandy my point is he is not the media myth he is made out to be. Mandy himself has warned people he is no saint!!!.I am posting a mild explanation of this by Adam Roberts of the Guardian. I am afraid as details of his actual life come to light there will some surprises for mandy fans.

Dave on thinking about your reaction to my post I realised that you were annoyed that someone would crit a person as noble in your eyes as mandy -so you defended him - in an unfortunate manner let it be said. But there was merit in sticking up for what you believed was good.

However you must realise you could well be wrong and have afforded the guy too much honour. Further that others who disagree are not necessarily scum and racist but just realists.

as for being moderated for responding to someone being calling you a wanker well after being called a wanker by dorkie dumbo for some two weeks or so I responded once and was banned. So at least you are only being moderated by their lordships. Pathetic really.

Man you guys make me laugh!  In another post I commented on having flu and as a result am home from the site where I work on construction.  This thread makes me really wonder if these whitecollar posters will last one day on the site.  Gee wizz you guys cry because of nonsense!  This Saffex guy must be gay the way he carries on and on about shit.

Beeno1, This Mandela thing is a bit blown out of proportion.  The press have made him more than he really is, maybe because of the same reason this Saffex guy cries so much.

One must always remember that the one man's freedom fighter is another man's terrorist.

Immaterial the "reasons", was Mandela ever responsible for killing innocent civilian people?  If the answer is yes then you be the judge.  Personally I cannot condone any killing on any side for any reason what so ever.  What justifies one man killing another for an ideal he believes in?  People are very quick to jump on the bandwagon and condemn Muslim people for believing in a cause and acting in a manner they think is just.

There is no difference between the killings of one group or the other - killing people to gain control / power is just as bad as killing people for the sake of religion.  And it is not only Muslims that kill for the sake of religion, the Christians also did it in great numbers - crusades!

Every man is entitled to an opinion and to run around swearing and threatening people is not the correct way to disagree.

So, He who believes the freedom fighter story - Good luck and he who believes the terrorist story good luck.

Saffex, I will personally invite you to come spend a week here by the construction site.  I would prefer in the summer so you can walk the whole day with a hard-hat and thick overall in 35 degree heat - it may melt away some of your fat.

Fred lets us allow history to take its course. mandy will not be the first to lose his sainthood status once the historians delve into matters. mandy himself has warned his fans and they should take heed.

There is nothing in Christs teachings that his followers must kill opponents (No jihads etc). Just the opposite.

Db, he was asked to moderate his laguage cos some folk don't like to be described as fuckwits or tosspots for disagreeing with him . But no, now he's throwing the toys out as well .

Why are you telling the posters on this message board about your troubles on some other message board? Surely the place to complain about this "moderation" as you call it is on the board where it's happening and not here where no-one gives a toss?

You put up a post saying "I'm being moderated" and I'm sure that most posters, like me thought you were talking about moderating issues on this site so we actually clicked on your post and read your whine. What a waste of time! As far as I know, only Baboon-ou yaps and squeals at the SS posters from this site, I hope you're not going to start doing the same! If you have something to tell the SS moderators, please go do it there.

Snapster has been posting in this style for years - why now? Tread on boss barlee and hawker's toes - is that the real issue? They have tolerated his language for years.Others use similar language the booses do as well at times. 

Saffex, I suspect you missed my point. All I'm complaining about is the fact that the title of your post says "I'm being moderated" rather than "I'm being moderated on the SS site". That's all.

The post title you used for this thread implies that the posters of this message board have something to be concerned about.

Snapster what I found not nice about this is that somebody with a banning button has the power to separate long standing cyber friends. That is however the danger of a private website whose owner(s) etc are partial and want it all their own way. This type of structure simply doesnt work well.

As far as I am concerned Draad and Bobok have always be very decent posters and I can say I felt they were always fair in assessing things. 

I can also say I  was deeply suspicious of ou windpomp but accept now he is here with no agenda, - if ya can understand what he is saying which would perplex even a notable wordsmith with plenty of time on his hands!

By rights, who ever uses profanity should be gotten rid of.
