There are likely numerous hereditary conditions that would cause it too.

And then more tricky ones like...

If a woman's partner's father was abusive and/or an alcoholic, then she is probably more likely to experience a miscarriage.

My guess is it that some women wouldn't miss a work day for it and others would require years of therapy. Some would be relieved because perhaps their partner is a bastard or they may have been raped while others would be devastated. No doubt there would be a ton of hormones involved and emotions of varying degrees and varieties would all play a part. 

Another guess would be that a portion of women would blame themselves, rightly or wrongly so. Those that truly blame themselves probably never stop doing so and just learn to live with the guilt.
